The absolute worst experience. He has the worst attitude. Worst experience. Went for a follow up and they canceled my apt without even telling me. I truly pray nobody goes to this guy. Do yourself a favor and find someone who truly cares. You have to advocate for yourself with these people and this dr Rantis doesn't care at all. Cut me off multiple times while trying to talk. Rolled his eyes. Literally while I was on the hospital bed he made me feel like so hopeless. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO HIM. FIND SOMEONE ELSE

My friend and I had surgery in 2019 with him, only we did not lose nearly enough weight through a bariatric surgery he left me with acid reflux.

Find another doctor if you have hemorrhoid or anal issues. Saw Dr. Rantis for fairly severe anal pain. After a painful examination, he offered no concrete diagnosis or solution and basically just read me options from brochures. Left his office discouraged and unsure how to proceed. Found and saw another doctor the next day who immediately diagnosed the problem (anal fissures) and suggested a specific plan of action, which was successful. Maybe he's a good bariatric surgeon, but strongly recommend this doctor be avoided for anal problem.

Great fact based approach to solving my gastrointestinal ailment. Solid sense of urgency to help me through my issues. Highly recommend his services and will tell all of my friends and family to use for any GI issues!

My appt was for a review of a lump (turned out to be a fatty tumor, A.K.A. lipoma) in the back of my neck. With my spouse with me, she asked if I should have an ultrasound before cutting open my neck. Dr. acted like he was offended we asked about an ultrasound that we wanted to be sure of what the lump was. Then at the last minute in his office, he asked me to raise my arms. The dr then squeezed very hard under both my arms and the pain from the right side of my armpit was outrageous. The dr never told me what he was going to do, and even why, and the subsequent pain on the right armpit area has lasted for weeks. Even now after 8 weeks, the pain flares up. I am still angry about the dr harming me. Of course, I selected another dr and the lipoma was successfully (and painlessly!) removed. The pain in my right arm pit area will always remind of this bad experience with this dr.

The doctor is ok but the office is a mess these days. Rude and incompetent front desk staff and the rudest billing supervisor I have ever met. This office has really declined in customer service. So glad I don't have to visit there anymore. Watch them - they bill wrong, mess up insurance billing and forget to collect co-pays and then penalize the patient for their incompetence.

Dr. Rantis was my Mother's surgeon. She was collectively treated for colorectal cancer by a number of doctors and Dr. Rantis was by far the best. He was extremely kind, thoughtful and caring to my Mother. He explained her surgery and spoke to her with the same respect she had for him. Dr. Rantis continued to check in on her post surgery, answering all post op questions, and remained a positive Doctor to my Mom. His reputation as a skilled surgeon was highlighted by his kind and caring nature.

The staff is short, don't offer explanations or assistance. The doctor doesn't explain anything, and doesn't spend much time with patient. Bedside manner borders on rude.

I was referred to Dr. Rantis by my primary thinking he was reputable.Turns out in my experience his office is incompatant.I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and his office said they would send me an instruction packet and persription for a bowal cleanser. Never recieved it.Then the office said they would call in the perscription. When i recieved the perscription no instructions.Went to the hospital and laid on a gurnie for three hours hooked up to an I.V. then the nurse finially came in and said he was in surgury. It seems they scheduled him to be in two places at the same time.Colonoscopy never happened. my time, my drivers time and the hospitals time wasted.
