Dr. Peter Clark Schriver, MD

This was a long time ago in 2007. I've tried to just let it go, but I at least want to let others know. He did surgery on my umbilical hernia. I've put 2 stars because he did take care of the hernia. But he told me it would be laparoscopic surgery--3 small incisions for his instruments and the camera. When they woke me up after surgery, there was a huge "bulls-eye" on my abdomen made of 15 incisions he made. One was an inch long tear! I was a pincushion! It looks like he was angry and frustrated and took it out on my body. I was in more pain than I've ever known (even after 2 natural childbirths & 3 miscarriages!) It felt like I was stabbed in the abdomen 15 times. I couldn't even sit down or get up without assistance. It was an excruciating 6+ weeks! I should have sued but I just wanted to get away from him and never see him again. He never admitted he did anything wrong or even apologize. He wouldn't even come and talk to us after the surgery as most physicians do. You… take a big gamble if you go to him. Because of him I will never set foot into that hospital again. I cannot believe he is still practicing!

Was quick to act when he confirmed my personal physicians diagnosis. Put me immediately into hospital and took very good care of me.

My husband and myself love this Dr and his staff. They are the best. We've both had surgeries under his care. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Worse Dr ever. He no's nothing. Very ignorant. He damaged my friend for life.

This Doctor Or So Told Doctor,Told Me I Needed A Gastic Bypass,Because Of Reflux,Etc.I Won't 100 Lbs Overweight.He Falsely Gave Infor Wrong,So Insurance Would Pay,BMI Was Falsely Given Also.I Had And Still Do,A Ulcer.I Only Lost 30 Pounds,Not Overweight.Now I Have To suffer Everyday,With A Ulcer Everyday,Right Where He Did The Bypass,My Doctor,Said I Need Surgery For It,But I Have A Big Chance Of Dying,Because He Wanted The Money,He Could Have Seen It.He Double Billed My Insurance Company,They Caught It.Never Will See This Doctor Ever Again.

I would not let this man touch me with a ten foot pole! He told my father-in-law he had cancer and performed a total colostomy on him. Turns out there was no cancer and the procedure is NOT reversable. My father-in-law also had and still has awful urinary problems.

I would not allow this man to operate on my worst enemy. You may survive, but you will be living in misery for the rest of your life (bowel obstructions, recurent ileus, colostomy, more gastro surgeries, NG tubes). Do not allow Dr. Schriver to operate on you or your loved one.

He told my Dad he specialized in Gastric Bypass. He made lots of errors during the surgical process. He closed my Dad up with staples instead of stitches, and my Dad's stomach burst open in the recovery room. Dr. Shriver told my Dad that he couldn't close his stomach up. He had an open wound that went from below his chest cavity all the way past his belly button for a year and a half. Another doctor had to do skin graphs to close my Dad up. Also, Dr. Shriver put in a colostomy bag, and attached it to the small intestine instead of the colon. Another surgeon had to fix it. My Dad almost died four times under Dr. Shriver's care. I suggest everyone steer clear of this man.

Dr. Schriver is a genuine man. I truly believe he has found his calling.
