Dr. Peter Allan Ward, MD

Dr. Ward, I’m currently approach my 4 year of what I like to call “Cativersary”. It’s been almost 5 years since you did surgery on my hand from a cat bite, effectively saving my arm/hand, the use of it, and also my life. Not a day goes by that I don’t praise your efforts and amazing work. Not a day goes by that I don’t marvel at how there are barely scars left from my surgery when 5 short years ago I was sick with tubes sticking out of my hand every which way. It’s a funny story to tell now and I make light of most situations when I know that it all worked in the end. I look back on the pictures constantly and I can’t believe how quickly things went bad and how quickly you were able to turn them back around for me. I can’t thank you enough for that. I also can’t thank you enough for making sure I got out of the hospital in enough time to make it to my uncle’s funeral. You helped my family in more ways than one during that time. While I still have some very minor… issues with my hand because of the damage the cat and the infection itself did, it’s nothing compared to what could have been done had you not been on call to literally save my life. And I’m thankful every day for that.

I visited Dr. Ward while he was a wound care specialist at Baptist Health. I have never had a Dr be so kind, upfront, honest, concerned and just a general all around nice person. Would highly recomend him.

Dr. Ward did my breast reduction and lift and did a wonderful job.

I had an ER referral for a minor hand injury. They got me in first thing the next morning. Dr. Ward & his staff were easy to talk to & seemed to actually care & not be listening because they had to. They filed my insurance for me & Dr. Ward had me return for a follow up. He also made sure I had antibiotics & had gotten a tetanus shot in the ER. He was very thorough, efficient & painless. Also, while I saw many patients entering & leaving the office, waiting times were minimal.

I had a skin cancer on my face that looked pretty bad. Dr, Ward had to do a lot of really tedious cutting and tiny stitches to remove all the cancer. It has been four months since the surgery and the scars are completely healed. No one could have done a better job. No evidence of the surgery.

I got attacked, and parts of my face were literally hanging off, and mangled beyond recognition..Dr. Ward came to the hospital in the middle of the night and did my surgery. Compared to the before pictures, my face looks AMAZING!!! I definitely recommend Peter to anyone and everyone!! He has been amazing towards me and has helped me build back my self esteem soooo much! In response to "don't take no insurance" they work with their patients amazingly, something went wrong with my insurance BCBS of Illinois, something about not accepting payment from them; but the staff members got everything worked out and my insurance sends me the check and then I give it to them. In other words, if you work with them, they will work with you :)

I came to Dr. Ward after a disappointing experience with a nationally known dermatologist. I had an irregular very dark mole on my face that returned several years after having it removed. Dr. Ward and his nurse offered me laser removal which I opted for and that left no scar at all. At my follow-up, he noticed some microscopic fragments that he again eradicated. I am extremely happy w/outcome and have also seen other patients with major plastic surgery, i.e. face lifts, etc. who look fantastic and do not exhibit a "different appearance" at all.
