Dr. Petra Novotny Joseph

Dr. Joseph is a very caring doctor. Her diagnosis was very accurate. And she always make her patients feel comfortable.

I suffer from chronic pain and had hit the end of the line for pain relief. I had the injections and surgeries and was still in violent pain. It was so bad I could not concentrate and my memory was affected. I needed help. And thank God when I called RIC for an appointment they gave me Dr Joseph! The appt started on time and Dr Joseph actually took the time to review my records before my visit. We chatted about my pain and where it was, etc. she then did an extremely thorough examination of my whole body in relation to my spine. I have had many surgeries and am fused from C4 to C7 and my real trouble spot is L5-S1. I had had an artificial disc put in and it was pure Heaven for over a year and then for some reason it ruptured and had to be removed. It took over 7 hours to be chiseled out. I have so much pain in my low back and down my right hip and leg. Tried injections and last resort was surgery. Dr. Joseph told me post exam that I had a lot of not so good things going… on including. I will not list them all, but believe it was a laundry list. As an alternative to surgery she recommended their four week pain mgmt program. For four weeks I, along with a group of other people in pain, I worked with Dr Joseph to reduce my medications. I worked with Physical and Occupational therapists (Angela and Ashley) and a psychologist extraordinaire ( Dr Flores). I learned to relax doing biofeedback (Felix), which is so amazing! I learned I can exercise without pain and now I like to exercise. I am now in much better control of my pain. I am not so depressed, I am more confident, I have returned to work full time and am able to concentrate. Dr. Joseph helped me get my life back. That is nothing short of a miracle. She helped me to understand what was wrong and within the program taught me how to help myself. I would recommend both her and the RIC program. The whole place has your best interest in mind, not money, not pills, just you, on a personal level. I miss being with everyone every day. That should tell you how good it all is. I hope this helps.

I would not recommend this supposed dr. to my worst enemy. If you care at all for quality health care, for yourself or a loved one, do not see this person. Caps left off dr. on purpose, as she doesn't deserve the respect of the title.
