I loved working with Dr. Joe--that is, the way he worked with me for a year when he was still in Davis. I miss him & wish him well. A generous knowing soul.

I wish I had never met him at all, and I hope other people have a much better experience than I did.

I've been going to Dr. Joe for several years now, and I highly recommend him. I've worked as an RN for over 25 years with some of those years being in Psychiatric Medicine. I've dealt with a lot of psychiatrists and Dr. Joe is the VERY BEST! He is bright, stays current in his field, and has an unusually good command of psychiatric medicine. He prescribes conservatively, and gets the client involved in making choices. And when I've had problems between visits, he always calls me directly, phones me promplty that same day, and always has recommendations that help. But of all his wonderful qualities, the one that means the most is his compassion! The man really cares! He's polite and gentle natured. Dr. Joe definitely is in the "Excellent" catagory, and the only reason I gave him 3 stars on the first question, "Ease of making an appointment", is because scheduling follow-up appointments can be difficult; but this is ONLY because he is so popular!
