Dr. Philip Farid Abdoush, MD

I never go to the emergency room. Today was a true emergency. My stage 3 internal hemorrhoids were a 9 out of 10 in terms of pain. I had to wait and wait by myself in a room for a very long time without any medication whatsoever to relieve the severe pain. The doctor (Dr. Philip Abdoush) finally comes in, but by then I was having a severe panic attack due to the pain. The doctor was not very nice about it. Had I been given pain medication, there wouldn't have been a panic attack. He didn't even apply lidocaine which he had said he would do. The doctor looked at my butt very briefly, but tells me "it looks fine." I know for a fact that I have stage 3 internal hemorrhoids. He didn't do any type of exam to look at them. I was baffled. He walked out of the room and I never saw him again. Then, a nurse comes in and is telling me it's time for discharge. She gave me some medication, but both medications I have at home already, so there was no point of going to the ER for the… medications. He also prescribed medications I have been told not to use anymore like hydrocortisone cream 2.5% because it had caused severe anal tears due to the thinning of the skin caused by the steroid. He also didn't ask me about all of the NSAIDS that I take (Toradol, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac 3% (anally), and Voltarin). My stomach hurts now. The NSAID injection they gave me caused a bad stomach ache. I hope I am okay. I tried to call to talk to the doctor. They told me to drop off a letter. INSANE!!!! I am in pain. They won't even call me back. They had security escort me out even though I said I am in severe pain and I can't go home in such poor condition. They didn't care. The staff talked down to me and belittled me. All I needed was two days of pain relief before I see the specialist later this week. I am LITERALLY SUFFERING RIGHT NOW and this doctor doesn't care at all.

THIS DOCTOR ATTENDED TO ME AT GARDENA MEMORIAL. HE WAS VERY RESPECTFUL, HONEST AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO COMMUNICATE TO THE PTIENT TO MAKE THEM COMFY. WISH I COULD HAVE HIM AS MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN.
