Dr. Philip S Anson, MD

I had a bad fall while on vac in Maine and broke my lower back and several other bones.Dr Anson did the Surgery on my back and I getting better everyday.He and his staff made me comfortable and kept me informed of every step of the way.

After having a miserable life with chronic pain in my lower back. Dr Philip Anson did a surgery in Dic 10 2018. And with just 3 weeks since that surgery I feel so good!! It’s a miracle such a great job he did on me. The recovery was awesome and of course my God it’s with me all the time. I fell just a new person with cero pain at all. I recommend Dr Philip Anson to everyone with my eyes close. Wonderful Doctor! ????

My wife has had several surgeries with Dr. Anson and we would not go anywhere else he is amazing!!!

Dr. Anson has diagnosed and performed multiple surgeries on all five of our family members, all with outstanding results! Dr. Anson is definitely tops in his field, has outstanding bedside manner and is very direct in sharing facts with regard to diagnosis, treatment alternatives, associated risks, etc. etc.

His office staff (Mary) was very kind and sweet on the phone when setting up my appointment. When I arrived at the designated time, I ended up having to wait for Dr. Anson for over an hour. Then when he called my name, he did hold the door for me, but walked quickly down the hallway with me trailing quite a ways behind (as I was on crutches). He introduced himself (I knew him from a previous surgery) and he asked what happened to my foot. As I proceeded to explain my accident he cut me off and wanted to know why the ER Doctor that I originally seen did not call the Emergency Ortho Doc on call. I stated I did not know why, and he just seemed rather uninterested in my case and gave the impression that he was in a hurry to get me out of his office. I knew less about how to care for my foot upon leaving his office than when I entered! I realize that sometimes we all have a bad day, or we are frustrated with how someone else has been treated, but our behavior and how we treat others… is directed right back on the office staff and other physicians in the practice as well. Besides the problem with my foot, I also need right knee surgery for a meniscus tear. Regardless of how close a drive his office was for me, I was not impressed with his behavior (bedside manor) and feel I deserve an apology, which I'm certain I will never get. Ode' to his practice and staff. Kind of sad really, because how we act toward others can truly leave a nasty impression. Will I ever recommend him to anyone else? I have in the past, but will not again!

Excellent Doctor and Staff! Couldn't have had a better experience. Dr. Anson checked on me many times and had a wonderful bedside manner. I couldn't have imagined a better recovery time. Thank you so much!

hi dr anson. you did reconstructive knee surgery on my left knee in 1997 when i had no job, money or insurance. thank you and the knee is fine. i was talking to someone who had a hip replacement and it made me think of you. i remember looking at your certificates on the wall, i think one of them was for dentistry, among others. somehow i knew that you were different, i'll never know why i know that but i do. so just like walter payton and dr j and lebron james doctor, your great

I have never written a derogatory statement about any doctor, until now. Dr. Anson performed surgery on my mother less than one month ago. She developed an infection in her wound site. His staff was less than helpful with making further appointments for her, one even stating to her that she had already spent one hour of her job attempting to call another hospital for her. When my mother was admitted to an ER, the doctor on staff called Dr. Anson. That was 6 days ago. He has not called ONCE to check on his patient. She had surgery this afternoon after being in the hospital all of this week. She had an infection that could have been life threatening. Long term recovery is expected. Still no call from Dr. Anson. I am not impressed. And by the way, his staff violated every HEPA rule. Again, not impressed.
