I had gone to another physician for 12 years until he moved. I did as much research as I could, and decided upon Dr. Philip Fontenot. Dr. Fontenot was not only everything I could’ve asked for and more. He came in with confidence and compassion and expertise. I’ve had trouble with my knee for 18 years and now five months later, I’ve got a new lease on my life. There was never a time preoperatively or postoperatively that when I had a question I didn’t get a thorough answer. Anytime I felt like I needed to be seen I was seen and I was heard. Ashley Ruiz is a perfect team teammate for Dr. Fontenot. Today I went for my five month appointment and unfortunately, I went to the wrong office. They redirected me called ahead and yes, I was late. Once I got to the Asheville office, I ran in to find out that I was still one building away up the hill. The Support staff literally walked me to the door and showed me how to get there. And Dr. Fontenot staff worked me in, on a Friday!!! … I am also very grateful that my knee looks like my other knee. It works so well and I have no pain in my new knee. I am in awe of how well your body adapts to such an intrusion. I have worked in the healthcare system for 47 years and Dr. Fontenot and the team at Mission Hospital where I had my surgery done was outstanding. It’s a very fluidic and Efficient process. I was back to work at the hospital, 12 hour shifts and haven’t been this comfortable in many years. Yes I thank God, but I thank Dr. Fontenot and EmergeOrtho for everything they do. If I had to sum it up, I would say, he under promised, and over delivered… He puts people at ease very quickly with no nonsense Communication -getting right to the problem, analyzes it and presenting the best way to repair it. There’s no way I could be happier with my knee replacement.. it went so well. I sometimes have to stop -when I’m being very active- and remind myself that I actually did have it replaced!
