Dr. Philip Abraham Kovoor, MD

Dr. Kovoor is one of the best doctors I have ever had in my entire life. Coming into his office for the 1st time with a breast cancer diagnosis, was terrifying. He put me at ease and prayed for me each time I seen him in the office. I am cancer free now, coming up on my 4 yrs remission anniversary and I have him to thank! So thankful to The Lord for blessing me with such a great person, to have a man like this in my corner makes a whole lot of difference. The care is top notch excellence!!! Thank you Dr. Kovoor! :)

I've been seeing Dr. Kovoor for over 10 years. During that time, he has been consistently helpful and has been very willing to explain test results and his reasoning. I feel that he genuinely cares about his patients, and I trust him with my life.

There are not enough positive, kind, and loving words available to explain the professional, up to date, care and genuine love we experienced in Dr. Kovoor, his precious nurse Amanda, and every other staff member from the front desk to the sweet spirits that make up all lab areas, the radiology department and the Parmacists(in our case, sweet Reba left a lasting beautiful mark). We always felt it was Divine intervention that placed Dr. Kovoor at my husband's bedside at Plano Baylor, after a devastating, unexpected, diagnosis in which he had experienced virtually no symptoms, until he suddenly over a very short time became ill. The initial diagnosis was different from what the ultimate one was. Dr. Kovoor was not satisfied until everything added up. Even after 10 months, when after being admitted, it became clear that we were in a very serious situation, Dr. Kovoor refused to give up...he actually never gave up. My husband's body and mind let us know that God had made that ultimate… decision and God knew that he was taking a Faithful, Beauiful Man home and He knew He had Chosen for him, a Wonderful, Faithful Man...Doctor, to oversee his work. A Faithful man who has dedicated his life to caring knowledgeably, and tenderly for those who need him, for as long as God determines an earthly healing is their destiny; And for those that He has determined will be healed in Heaven, Dr. Kovoor is still dedicated to treating until circumstances tell him that. I will always hold a place in my heart for this One of a Kind Doctor and Man and the professionals that he hand picks to be a part of his team on this difficult journey. His support was all encompassing. My husband and I were embraced as a team, and even near the end, I and our family and friends continued to be embraced with the knowledge that Dr. Kovoor and his team were also losing someone they had grown to care very much about. I am Forever Thankful.

Dr. Kavoor is an amazing oncologist and man. When my dad was sick, he astounded my whole family with his kindness. You could tell he sincerely cared about my dad. He never gave up on him, and put all of our minds at ease. Though he did pass away, he did everything in his power to make his last weeks great. 4/4 stars!

Have been trying to schedule an appointment with Dr Kovoor. The staff at his Plano West location are unprofessional and rude. They will not return your phone calls. Telling a new patient your new patient scheduler is busy today is unacceptable. You mean to tell me no one else is capable of making appointments? If so, that is not a smart business move and does not help make a good impression on someone that is trying to make an appointment and is ultimately your paying customer. Poor poor service over the phone!!!!

They blew me off completely when i was trying to get test scheduled. I sat at the hospital for three hours waiting for his nurse to call, she never did. I never got the test done that day. Had to take off another day of work. If i hadn't called his office a total of 5 times over 3 weeks, i would never have gotten these tests scheduled. Surely the patient's time is worth something too.
