My daughter broke her pinky finger, and we went to see Dr. Cummings. He has been nothing but kind and considerate to her. He speaks to her with a very calming voice and is very positive about her healing. We are so grateful for the care and respect we have been given. Thank you!!!

My visit with Mr.Cummings was very upsetting. He asked me what was my injuries? I started informing him of my injuries he yelled out NO THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED. I apologized and asked for him to repeat the question.He yelled...DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! I told him you will not talk to me in this manner. I took my belongings and left. Mr Cummings is a BULLY! ?????? Ida

I'm in the industry and have used this facility time and time again during my 20 year career. Hence I felt pretty confident about treating at the facility. Overall, they are a typical comp practice (read high volume) but the providers I encountered prior to him were great. Thankfully until recently I only had age-appropriate aches. Following a major roll over accident I was referred to Cummings for my dominant hand. The first appointment went okay however he was short and rude because I had my infant son with me. That should have been my cue to transfer care, but again, I use this facility professionally so I chalked it up to a long day. However, when I attended my follow up some time later due to other health concerns he berated me for the delay in treatment. He had absolutely no care that the very valid health concerns. I left that appointment in tears but for some reason continued care. He eventually told me nothing was wrong with my hand. No updated radiology, just you're good… bye. Fast forward, two years post-accident and I'm still in acute pain. I've called and requested a different provider citing his bedside manner as the reason for changing providers. Hopefully they have someone better.

My visit with Phillip Cummings was VERY UPSETTING, As he's examining my hands he asked me if I had an injury I said yes and stated explain the reason why I was there. He yelled in my face and said that's not an injury!! I then said Dr. then why don't you explain. He then YELLED DON'T YOU SPEAK ENGLISH. I took my things and walked out. IN DISBELIEF. I stood up and stepped into the hall way where their were people because I felt THREATENED. He followed me out of the room, and stared his dictation on my visit. I asked him if he would please give me copy of the dictation? He then took a step up in front of me again I FELT THREATENED (because his body was all in my space) he then said you will be notified when it's ready. I looked around and their were two employees in the area one was his charge Nurse. He said go to the front waiting area. I went to the front desk and informed the lady at the desk what just happed to me. She said we are over booked. I informed her that's not a reason… for Dr. Cummings to be unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I am in pain and in need of help. She gave me her card and said she will call me tomorrow. Orthopedic Of South Florida has a bad reputation because of damaging so called Doctor's like Phillip Cummings.

Dr. Cummings operated on both of my hands. He did a fantastic job. He was very congenial and professional.

I have been to him for an accdent and he was wonderful, kind and caring. When I went back with a workman's comp injury he was downright nasty.

I have to visit Dr. Cumminngs because I cut my hand at work, resulting in 2 tendons being cut. I wasn't able to work or to do my daily chores due to the pain. Dr. Cummings operated on my hand and ever since, my hand is healing and I'm Sure it will be fine very soon! I was pleased no only with the care that Dr. Cummings provide but also with Nicole her assistant and all the staff at the orthopedic center of south Florida; no long waits for appoiments and all my concerns were met with compassion and patience. I think 5 starts is not enough for Dr. Cummings and his staff. He is an excellent hand surgeon.
