Dr. Phyllis Eze, MD

I would like to be fully transparent in this review. I have an intense phobia of doctors. I grew up with a family that never went to doctors unless something was TERRIBLY wrong. This triggered me as a kid to see doctors only if I was desperate. I get very anxious and start to get a small panic feeling throughout my body that never goes away. Here is my story... I was seeing Dr. Eze for a little while. I would go in and get checkups and she prescribed an eye medicine based on my diagnosis. She is very intimidating, short and not very comfortable to speak with. She would be in the room a couple minutes max, not speak and minimal answers to my questions. Between that and my phobia I started to reschedule and push off going. That was foolish on my part, but sometimes a phobia can cause you to do things against your will. Fast forward to present... I started feeling better about how the pandemic was going and decided to force myself to call and set up another eye appointment. I was… shocked to find out that she decided to reject seeing me as a patient due to the amount of my reschedules/cancellations before and during the pandemic. I was never told this news, nor was I offered a suggestion for another doctor. I was simply canceled with no direction on where to go from here. I try to be a very easy-going person in all life situations. I was upset to find out that people will do this kind of thing to someone who has an illness they need treatment for. If you have any kind of nervousness seeing doctors, I would not recommend her. Find someone that can be little more helpful when you mention a phobia. Having a doctor that would have gave some friendly encouragement, guidance and conversation would have made all the difference in my experience. I am off to find another doctor. Have a great day.

I am blown away by her lack of empathy. She was rude from the minute we met. She explained absolutely nothing about the process of her findings. When I went back to the waiting room the staff immediately apologized for her behavior. Again run run run from this Dr.

Everything went great. Dr Eze is very professional. Loved it!
