Dr. Phyllis Shou-Wen Tong, MD

One of the best doctors I have yet to meet.

Dr. Tong is a wonderful doctor. She was my mother's doctor and was very helpful, kind, caring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her for anyone who wants a bright doctor who really cares about their patients.

Dr. Tong was recommended to me when my previous PCP left Atlanta. I have found Phyllis to listens and responds clearly to what I ask and say. She was unrelenting in diagnosing a problem condition with my wife. After several years at Emory, she left for another practice - there was no question I would follow her to another practice. Now I find when problems or issues develop, I get same day appointments.

Emory is lucky to have DR Tong. She has been my PCP for about ten years.

After 3 years under the care of Dr. Tong, I can say with confidence that she is an extremely caring, knowledgeable physician who takes the time to talk to patients, ask insightful questions, and listens well. She treated me during a difficult medical issue and was sympathetic and concerned without being unprofessional. The office staff at the 1525 building is better than most at the Emory Clinic, and the nurses there are average to slightly above average. The biggest drawback is the need to rely on nonmedical call center staff to relay your needs to the doctor.

Phyllis has been my physician for many years now. She is very thorough and very responsible. With me, Phyllis tests everything to ensure she's doing due diligence where my health is concerned. It's not just an act either. She really does care. I'm not just some money she's going to collect. Phyllis has called me at home to check on me. Dr. Tong's also my wife's doctor and she loves Phyllis as much as I do. Unlike some physicians, Phyllis has a great sense of humor and it's always fun to be in her presence. My goal, every appointment, is to crack her up and, when she goes, she laughs so hard I'm concerned for her health, with all the gasping and snorting. Finally, the really amazing thing about Phyllis is she's only twelve years old. Don't believe IT? Take a look at her ID photo. She's a baby. She's a wonderful person and the best doctor I've had in my sixty-two years of life. If you don't know Dr. Phyllis Tong, you're missing out. You really are!

Dr. Tong is one of the best internal medicine doctors in the Atlanta area. She is very dilligent, listens well, understanding, knowledgable, and dedicated to her patients.
