Dr. Prashant J Desai, DO

Dr Desai is a fantastic doctor. I had a very successful experience with my surgery. His staff is so helpful and nice. I would highly recommend him as a very good surgeon.

This was the worst doctor experience I have had in 66years. He only wants to do total hip replacement without offering any other solutions. Said immediately we can’t help only surgery when I’m ready. Never offered injection or physical therapy until I told him I researched it and there was other options available. He asked me what. Are you kidding he was the doctor. He is arrogant and condisending . First doctor I ever argued with and I walked out. Stay away,

Rudest doctor ever. Didn’t introduce himself and never made eye contact. After speaking with several others that have been to him we believe he truly has an issue with overweight people. Made at least three comments about that to me during our appt. He is NOT a dietitian and needs to focus on what he went to school for. Honestly this could have been taken as harassment seeing that he couldn’t stop talking about it. I was so disappointed and will never return nor recommend him to anyone.

Dr Desai has been a life saver for me. I had spent years with what I'd been told was arthritis in my shoulder. I finally went to him hearing something can be done about that now. Turns out it was two torn tendons as well as bursitis. Dr Desai did such a great job fixing it, I went from being in constant pain to full movement and NO pain by the time PT as complete. So I went back to him for the arthritis in my knees. With the 1st one done less than three weeks ago, I'm taking walks up to 3/4 mile right now. What really surprised me was that I was walking without the walker as soon as I got home from surgery. Even going down and getting the mail without assistance. I didn't think that was supposed to be possible. I did my part with biking before surgery and doing all my PT after. He's certainly doing his part as an excellent surgeon. I have full confidence in knee #2 coming out as well as knee # 1. I highly recommend Dr Desai for anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Desai is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. I have been a patient of three other orthopedic surgeons in the past and none of them have the qualities of Dr. Desai. He has great skills and a wonderful bedside manner. He takes time with me and answers all of my questions. His office staff, nurses, and physician's assistant are also great.

Dr Desai and his staff have been great. I had knee surgery last year and my knee is doing great! It took 3 months for things to heal and feel better. During this time you wonder if you will ever get better! Then one day you get past that 3 month mark and it was all worth it. Dr Desai is very good at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone!

Six weeks ago I had a left knee replacement. Everything has gone well. I am back to swimming and exercising. Dr. Desai did an excellent job. He explained everything that would happen and answered all my questions and concerns. He and his staff were very helpful and professional.

Dr. Desai performed a much needed hip replacement on me and I couldn’t be happier! It was a very quick recovery and I am now capable of resuming activities that have been previously limited.

Had surgery for Rotator Cuff on Feb. 6, 2019. Had trouble getting Dr. Desai's nurses to call me back to make the initial appointment. Dr. did not show up for two of the three follow up appointments. One of the appointments was made at his convenience to make sure that I could speak to him. He did not show up. The appointment he made, he was 45 minutes late for. I spoke to another patient of his and he confirmed that the Dr. was always 45 minutes to an hour late. After 11 weeks I still have pain and swelling in my hand. I told four people about this and did not get any answer. I spoke to the Dr. at my 4 week appointment about my hand and he said "that shouldn't be happening, put ice on it". I also asked him about my frequent headaches and he said " I am not a headache doctor" , Wow!

Currently in rehab on 4th day with considerable pain. Have not seen or heard from Dr. or PA since day of surgery. Do not know if I am progressing normally no to talk to
