Caring and kind seemingly, Dr. Desai is also sharp and on top of the scans and reports (this is a renal cell carcinoma/removal of kidney) and would explain with great cautionary measures and greater degree of thoroughness (more so than this one urologist oncological surgeon at City of Hope). Very approachable and does not make you feel he is in a hurry or annoyed by a lot of questions. Feel very safe to have family under his care.

Everything about my experience with Dr. Desai was terrific. He explained everything to me thoughtfully and clearly, laid out my choices, and directed me to the most cautious approaches, trying medications first before launching into surgery. When it became apparent that surgery really was necessary, the surgery was scheduled quickly, and his courteous staff took care of everything. Dr. Desai's bedside manner is flawless. He's a very kind and personable man, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Desai took his time with me when I first had my consultation and was very easy to talk to. He was thorough yet didn't insist on doing anything that wasn't necessary. Staff is also great.

Dr. Desai is wonderful. He is caring and takes the time to explain and has no hidden agenda. The only problem I had was with the scheduler who did not return calls and did not follow thru. I am cancer free and fully operational due to his surgical skills.

Dr. Desai is caring and thorough. He easily relates to patients giving them easy to understand facts so decisions can be made. He is a very skilled surgeon and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Desai is a very caring and knowledgable urologist. I appreciate his through explanations about prostate biopsies. I definitely felt comfortable getting treatment from him. He is very compassionate as is his staff.
