Dr. Punam S Bhandari, MD

First office visit was great...felt like she cared and we were going to find answers. Second visit everything changed. Questioned me like I was on a witness stand, no bedside manner, honestly was just mean. I walked out the office completely stunned. Would not recommend her and will not be going back.

Dr Bhandari is the most caring and thoughtful Dr. .She treats us like family,and doesn't hesitate to listen and spent time with us during our visits.We are so thankiful for her

Dr. Bhandari has been my primary physician for 18 years. I credit her with saving my life on two occasions. She is very thorough and aggressive. She is not one of those, "Well, let's keep an eye on it." kind of doctors.

Upon my moving to Knoxville, I became apatient of Dr. Bhandari, who avoided dealing with my pre-existing pain management. She did not recommend a pain clinic for referral, refused to prescribe (I have been on same meds and dosages for over 5 years)with no reason given. I was very frustrated dealing with her as I felt she did not listen, or stopped listening when the topic was not her priority. I have never been angry with a health care provider before, but I had words with her the last time I saw her. She walked out of the exam room in the middle of our (or just mine) discussion. I left her office angry and again, frustrated beyond words by her refusal to treat me. I also needed a form filled out in order to get a new driver's license, and it took four calls and a personal visit from me before she filled out the one line form and signed it. I found out a couple of months later from my pharmasist that 'Dr Bhandari was no longer my physician'. I received no notice from her informing… me of this action. Whether she cared for me or not, I feel that this last action showed supreme unprofessionlism, courtesy or compassion.

Dr. Bhandari has always been very attentive and caring of my health and takes time to make sure I'm doing what I need to do to take care of myself.

My Parents both see Dr. Bhandari. She is an excellant caregiver and insists on professionalism with with Patients and concerned Family Members. A very concerned Doctor.
