Dr. Purva Gupta Amar

DR PURVA AMAR is the least helpful doctor anyone struggling with mental health could go to. If it was possible to give no stars, I would. DR PURVA AMAR is the worst doctor I’ve seen in my whole life. She is incredibly rude, doesn’t even say hello or goodbye. She has no sympathy whatsoever. She personally insulted me. She interrupted me every time I tried to talk. She wrongly diagnosed me (seen other doctors just to confirm) she doesn’t explain your diagnosis even when outright asked. She doesn’t explain medication side effects. She can never answer questions. She got frustrated with me, she raised her voice and used a rude tone of voice. She rushed me out of her office and told me that her next patient is waiting when I had 20 minutes left of our appointment. She doesn’t care about your safety regarding medications. She made me feel like an annoyance. Accused me of being a drug addict just because I didn’t want to miss a week of taking my medicine which every other doctor has said it… won’t work properly if you miss a few days of taking it. She made me feel so uncomfortable. She didn’t listen to me explain things or what I was struggling with. She never got back to me, she has extremely bad communication. She threatened to abruptly stop my medication just because I was asking questions about my diagnosis. She never treated my diagnosis. She told me to stop asking questions. She doesn’t listen to me. She recorded wrong information on my chart and even admitted it. She got all my basic information wrong and won’t change it. She has told my other doctors wrong information and admitted it but won’t change it. She told me things were my fault (things I had no control over) She didn’t care about tapering my medicine down to reduce withdrawals. She got incredibly defensive. She couldn’t tell me all the available treatments. I am honestly shocked with how she treated me. I urge everyone to never come here and I strongly recommend to never see DR PURVA AMAR. I would honestly rather suffer with my anxiety than come here, coming here just makes it worse. I strongly feel like DR PURVA AMAR should not have a license and I’m seriously thinking of making a complaint
