Dr. Quyen Ngoc Bao Dang, MD

So disappointed by Dr. Dang and her office. I went in for my annual gyno check up, and they asked if I would like to have some preventative bloodwork done. I said yes and proceeded with my appointment. I was called back on a Monday with my Pap smear results and as the nurse or MA?, Brenda, went to end the call I had to ask about my bloodwork. She checked and said the Dr. hadn’t signed off on them and would call me by the end of the day. She did not. So the next day I called and she didn’t answer, so I left a message. No call back. The next day I called again and had to call several people, one of which said that Brenda was in the office and would have her call me. Didn’t happen. I finally got a call back on Thursday with my bloodwork results. She told me that my cholesterol was ‘elevated’, followed by the most generic google treatment of exercise and diet change. I had to ask for a copy of my results, which I read to discover that my cholesterol results came back in the HIGH category.… Mind you, I am 28 years old, very active and healthy, and have no medical or family history. Apparently these results alarmed no one. I called back to ask if I could speak with the Dr. about my results, as this was not a normal occurrence and the “consult” I received was far below adequate. I was told that I would need to schedule a new appointment that would cost “only” $78. Are you kidding?! You’re going to run tests and then charge me for you to talk with me about obviously abnormal results?? I don’t feel like my health was at all of concern to Dr. Dang, and that is extremely disappointing.

Dr Dang is very kind and caring. I had a few visits there and each time I was happy with the quality care and the overall experience.
