Review of Dr. Thapa: A Truly Frustrating Experience I’ve had an ongoing battle with thyroid issues and cancer since 2017, and have seen multiple endocrinologists over the years. Unfortunately, Dr. Thapa has been by far the worst I’ve encountered. My experience with her has been nothing short of frustrating and stressful. First off, communication is absolutely terrible. She takes days—at least 5 or more—to respond to messages, which is inexcusable when you’re dealing with a serious health condition. I had to call the office multiple times to address issues, and when I did get a response, it was often dismissive or incorrect. For example, Dr. Thapa ordered the wrong blood work, and when I caught it and called to clarify, I was told the right tests had been ordered. It wasn’t until later, after I pushed further, that she admitted the correct tests hadn’t been done. This resulted in more costs for me. She also sent the wrong medication to the pharmacy, which added even more… inconvenience to an already frustrating process. She did order an ultrasound, but the results showed up in my portal without any follow-up for over a week and a half. I had to be the one to reach out to get answers. And let’s not forget the biopsy appointment—she initially scheduled it, then canceled it, only to message me later saying I needed it after all. It's hard to trust a doctor who can’t even manage basic scheduling and follow-through. What really struck me as unprofessional, though, was a comment she made during a routine appointment with my significant other present. Out of nowhere, she blurted out that I should not get pregnant. This was completely out of context. We hadn’t discussed having children at all. In fact, I had just mentioned that I was taking steps to avoid pregnancy. It was an awkward, inappropriate, and unsolicited comment that really made me uncomfortable. At the end of the day, I had to contact the office manager to get things resolved. The office manager was helpful, but it should never have gotten to that point. I can’t trust someone with my health care who makes this many mistakes and doesn’t communicate effectively. I would not recommend Dr. Thapa to anyone, and frankly, I think you’d have better luck going to any other doctor, even a neighbor who might know more about your health than she does. Avoid her at all costs.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. Similar to the other reviewer, she just looked at me and decided she didn’t want to help. She ignored all my concerns and gaslit me- told me “you’re just aging” when I’m a 28 year old woman who’s suddenly begun to grow a beard. I have received several abnormal test results which she claims are normal- despite all the other professionals I’ve seen assuring me that they are certainly not. I hope she does some introspection and inner work so she can give people actual care.

I had the absolute worst medical experience I have ever had with this doctor. She got very combative with me when I referred to someone as my "doctor" when she is an NP and interrupted me to tell me I "have stop doing that". When in fact I was referring to an MD I went to. If she has something against NPs then I would suggest curbing her personal feelings while at work. But perhaps NPs focus more on bedside manner in school as I have never had and experience like that with one of them. We went over a laundry list of symptoms I am experiencing and she said if I'm dizzy drink water and if I'm tired all the time go get a sleep study. It was the most bizarre experience. She told me multiple times nothing is wrong with me and because I am not overweight, younger and have no stretch marks I don't need to worry about my high cortisol levels. All she did was look at me and decide she didn't want to help me. Mind you I was referred to her by someone who actually has concern.

Her and her staff were excellent. Been diabetic 75 years and never had an appointment like that. So happy
