Dr. Radhika Ganti Murty, MD

I have been a patient of Dr.Murty for 10 years. She has always maintained 100% professionalism, while still showing the genuine care and empathy anyone would look for in a psychiatrist. I would recommend her to anybody looking for a doc who truly has the patient's best interests.

Pros- timely, clean office, Cons- appeared stiff and emotionally removed. Seemed all to ready to write prescriptions before truly getting to know the situation with my child. I am not against diagnostic labels, but the sessions seemed more focused on the label than the person. Also, she is difficult to read at times and seems to deny negative feelings rather than just acknowledge them and move on. For example, she was running late one day and appeared flustered but denied it. My child felt confused because they could see she was flustered, and if not about being late, than perhaps about the appointment. Not a good model.In short: if your child needs medication and you already know what works and doesn't work for him or her, Dr. Murty could be fine. But at that point, your pediatrician could do the same and for a lot less.

Dr. Murty provides excellent care. She remains very present and empathic during sessions and is knowledgeable in the various theoretical models that can compliment use of medication.
