Dr. Raj Shrivastava, MD

I have very mixed feelings. Dr. S is a five star - kind, knowledgeable and a great surgeon. His staff is a one star. Unresponsive, disorganized and poor communicators. I have had nothing but problems making appointments and getting test results. I am currently waiting almost a month to get a brain MRI result, despite 4 phone calls. There is no way to directly communicate with the doctor. I am fed up and just hoping my tumor hasn’t grown back, cause they haven’t told me.

Dr. Shrivastava is best Neurosurgeon, we highly recommend him. My wife was diagnosed with Acoustic Neuroma. He is compassionate, heard our health concern, showing the MRI report he explained the Tumor area, surgery process, and also patiently answered to our pre/post surgery questions. He gave the confidence that I'm in good hands. Though it was a long surgery, he is skillful to remove most of the Tumor without any other impact. We are very thankful to him.

Dr. Shrivastava is an absolutely wonderful doctor and kind person. He saved my wife's life and continued to support her after her urgent care. He is a most skilled surgeon and a very kind a personable person who takes the time needed for patients. I cannot recommend him enough. If you are looking for a neurosurgeon, look no further. Mt Sinai is the place you want to be. The best in the world in our opinion.

I have an Arnold Chiari 1 malformation along with several other complex health issues. The Dr. and his staff were very knowledgeable and compassionate and for the first time in a 30 year painful health journey I have hope. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Shrivastava and did not know what to expect, I was very naive about my condition and afraid. Once I arrived and sat down with him he made me feel comfortable and gave me all the information regarding my condition where I didn't need to ask any questions. He had me come over more than once and did additional testings to make sure that the initial diagnose was correct. I had Chiari Malformation 1. The whole process from the beginning to the end was very professionaly and smoothly done.I was kept informed both by him and his nurse. Dr. Shrivastava was always pleasant, very informative and patience with me. I truly thank him for a better quality of life and for a better tomorrow. I honestly recommend this kind, one of kind Neurosurgeon, you will never regret having him as your Neurosurgeon. I bless him, his steady hand and his life.

Dr. Shrivastava was kind and compassionate, taking the time to go through the entire surgical process thoroughly. I was put at ease immediately I could tell he really cared about helping me.

I went today to see Dr. Shrivastava for the first time based on my cardiologist's recommendation. He is so wonderful and intelligent, I instantly loved him! He is my new neurosurgeon. I highly recommend him.
