Dr. Raka Chauhan Gohel, MD

I would recommend Dr Raka to friends family and strangers. Dr Raka and her staff are always courteous and helpful. I have gone to her for several years and she has always been able to get me back on the right track. I would also like to say thank you.

I would give zero stars if I could. Just moved to TX. Been seeing previous pain dr for over 12 years. The reason they gave me, is they don't offer the pills I'm taking. They could start me on something else. I take 3 nerve pills and 1 pain pill. They didn't specified it was the pain pill. Sure wasn't the politeness that Texas is known for.

On my first time visit, I was greeted like I was part of the family. Dr. Gohel is a great listener, and is really concerned for my well being. I never wait long to see her and the staff is amazingly attentive and friendly.

I have been under the care of Dr. Raka Gohel for the past 15 years. Great doctor. I have had in the past a ongoing and severe back issue but with her care I have maintained my lifestyle. I could not have done it without her guidance and medical care.

Waited almost three weeks to see this person, did the new patient paperwork, gathered medical records from previous providers and she cancelled the appointment one day before the scheduled appointment! I was asked to get a second opinion by my current pain specialist and told the receptionist that when I made the appointment. I was very up-front, there is nothing to hide! Most of her patients are referred or come from different doctors any way! Her nurse told me that Dr. G has the right to say “No!” BUT without seeing the person first?! Well, I’m certainly not going to beg a doctor to see me!! Pretty sad when a “stranger” rejects you before meeting you! What’s up with that? No wonder the U.S. lags behind other countries in medical services! I’m disgusted! Oh! We are the paying customers but rarely treated that way. I would have to say, in my opinion, this is a physician who has forgotten her oath. Perhaps divine intervention interceded to protect me from, yet, another lacking physician… ??

I was injured at work, had, had back surgery in 1995 by a great Dr. Some people (me) don't get better. Add'tl surgeries didn't help either. Meds didn't help; so why take them. Dr.Raka Gohel was on it. She was all in ! She did injections in my spine (of course I was asleep) They worked!!! I've been taking meds for Horrific migrains. That pain is worse than anything. As it turns out I have Arnold Chiari Malformation. I've had a migraine for about 25 years... wake up with it and go to bed with it. I've got the best Dr. Dr.Dewitz. He and I finally got a regimine that works and I don't have to go get a shot a few times a month (my bottom is so thankful) No more ER visits..YAY!! Now the back pain takes precidence over EVERY THING. So I am so thrilled that Dr. Gohel is still here. I hope to be hearing from them soon. Lord knows I need a break! I'm sure these procedures have gotten exponentially better. I have HOPE! Dr. Gohel, I really am looking forward to seeing you....yesterday...or as… soon as possible. Sincerly, Jacqueline

fixed my back pain with out pills thank you

Had a surgical procedure setup for the following week but needed to change to a different surgical center, left two messages on two different days for the staff and no one has returned my calls. Not professional. Need to look for another doctor. Thanks for wasting my time

I've been a patient of Dr Gohels for about 6 years . She treats me for chronic back pain . I think she is wonderful ! She takes her time and listens to me . She is very caring . I drive about 120 miles round trip to keep her as my Dr .

I started seeing Dr. Gohel many years, never had any issues. Now there is a whole new office staff, to say the very least they need a coarse in how to deal with patients. I will not return to see Dr. Gohel due to her new office staff. She is an outstanding physician, I do regret that I have to start new after so many years.
