Dr. Ramona Raj, MD

Like Dr Raj herself well enough although never that impressed with her staff, then lab assistant mauled my arm in three painful attempts to draw blood. When I complained to him, he made a rude gesture which I returned. Later Raj told me that I was the one that made the rude gesture and cursed--only did the former after he did and never the latter. I get loyalty to your team but sometimes the team doesn't deserve it. She could see the marks on my inside arm that made me look like a heroin user three days after the blood was drawn: I deserved an apology not a slap on the wrist. And by the way the asst. started our lab session with some kind of disparaging comment about my clothing that I didn't even understand, ie, "Does your husband let you out like that?" I am 66 years old and was wearing a conservative black pantsuit, so I'll never figure that one out. She told me that didn't sound like him. Won't be going back... Maybe he was on some kind of drugs?

I started seeing Dr. Raj late last year for thyroid issues. My complaint is more about her office staff, but I feel that she is also responsible seeing as she hires these people and I've made some comments to her regarding these situations and she just kind of shrugged them off. From day one, her office staff was very unfriendly and rude. While filling out paperwork for new patients, the receptionist 'Sasha' kept asking me if I was finished. There was literally no one else in the office. Then, she forgot to return my ID and insurance card and when I asked her for them before I left, she gave me a look and then threw them on the counter and turned her back to me and said "have a good day." in a passive aggressive way. I was kind of feeling weird about that first experience but decided to give it some time. My next visit, the doctor asked for some blood work, and I was trying to reach her nurse to leave a message about my results and the receptionist put me on hold for literally a… minute and told me that she had spoken to the doctor who had already reviewed my blood work and that it "wasn't urgent" so there was no need for me to see her soon. The next day, I get a call from her nurse who informs me that they had JUST received my results that morning and Dr. Raj wanted to see me ASAP. I was super confused and then immediately angry when I realized Sasha had lied to me about speaking to the doctor. I voiced my concerns to her nurse and she also seemed confused. Today, I'm writing this review because I continue to have issues with being able to communicate and get an answer from the doctor about my treatment. I have been calling her for the past 2 days and the first time I spoke with her nurse who told me she would speak with the doctor and call me back that same day but never did. I called again later that day but she was gone and the receptionist claims she was headed out too but she would leave a note for her to return my call today. I'm still waiting for that call and it is now 1:30pm. I called her almost 2 hours ago to see what happened and was told they were out to lunch but she would "find out and call me back." To say I'm frustrated is a huge understatement and I'm honestly thinking of just finding another doctor because as a patient, you shouldn't have to track down the doctor and call repeatedly to receive some answers. This experience is truly one of the worst I've encountered from a doctor's office.

Kind of shocked at these reviews and thinking they might be confusing her with someone else. She is always quick to respond, never leaves me waiting and somehow allows me to discuss my issues very patiently and never in a rush. She has worked with me on several occasions when I didn't have insurance and actually cared enough to help me. For that, I am loyal.

Dr.Raj is a caring and professional doctor. She listens to patients and comes up with accurate diagnosis. I had good experience with her. Her staff is also friendly and easy to schedule appointments.

Office staff is very unfriendly. Dr raj seems very uninterested. Looking for another dr. Would not recommend to family or a friend.

It was very easy to get an appointment with Dr. Raj. Her staff was courteous and efficient when I came in for my appointment. Dr. Raj saw me fairly quickly. She had a very nice and caring bedside manner. She explained everything about my condition in thorough detail and she addressed all my concerns and questions. She is not the type of doctor that will see you for 5 minutes and go about their way. She really takes time with you and makes sure you have the best possible care and treatment.

One of just many bad experiences in medical offices over several decades. My ancestors have been, & had, several med. professionals in it, over several generations, so I know the difference between excellent care, mediocre care, and poorest level of care. In all categories, I'd rank this one as a failure from attempt to make an appointment for an urgent situation (had to wait 4-5 MONTHS for a new patient appt], then the experience in-office was awful. Reception/front desk was clueless so do not bother asking any questions. If you are transferred to any staff for answers, they will get very annoyed at being asked anything. After waiting over an hour in the exam room, and having already waited at least that long in the reception area after my appointment time, Dr. Raj showed zero concern, gave no consult, and had all the compassion and personality/feedback of a wet dishrag. I've received better care from my veterinarian when taking in my family pets than anything received at this… office. I am disgusted that anyone who shows such lack of concern for other human beings would be granted a license or allowed to "practice" medicine. Or maybe she simply has not practiced at it long enough. To me, compassion is a lot like common sense -- you either have it, or you don't.

I am starting to wonder if the only people giving Dr Raj a review are the people who are unhappy and none of the one's with a good experience have bothered to do a review. I have had no issues with any of the staff at this office. All have been very polite and helpful even when there after closing time because some appointments ran long. The Dr. listened to everything I said, even when I was rambling because of Graves induced anxiety. We have had several discussions regarding my affliction and all were positive exchanges where I was treated with respect.

She was quick to get into and was overall nice most of the time, but I don't like being made to feel stupid when I question whether or not we're on the right track with what's wrong with me. Sadly she's not the only doctor this has happened with, so I don't even blame her for it. I just know that I've done everything she suggested and am worse off than I was before I started seeing her, so it's obvious to me that something isn't right. We did spend a lot of time talking on my first visit, though, so I was initially hopeful that I'd get somewhere with her.

Unfortunately this person has lost the definition of the word physician, or never understood it from the start. Probably a nice lady personally but professionally, less than one star. There are no descriptions strong enough to state how unimpressed the whole experience left me. One staff member was completely clueless while the other was actually rude, multiple times. I will not state the details here; they are a very small office so they can figure it out. Even after multiple calls to them, two months post visit: no diagnosis, no lab results, no needed rxs. That's being very tuned out as a doctor, and as a medical office. I wish there had been more reviews to warn me to not waste my time and money.
