Dr. Rana Abusoufeh, MD

While I was with her, she was very attentive, caring, promised to figure out what was going on.but once I left the office, I was not a priority anymore. She basically made me feel as though she threw her hands up and gave up on me. She ordered brain mri. Had her nurse call me and say result was unremarkable. But when I read the report there was some verbiage that I researched and found there could be early dementia causing problem. This is a huge problem in my family, with my mom one of 5 out of 7 siblings who developed dementia in their 60’s. When I asked nurse to let me discuss with dr, they got all weird. The office manager called and said dr was leaving at end of year and all appts are booked. She would only honor future appts already booked. I said I’d just like to clear up something I’m worried about on mri and basically was told no, you can’t talk to dr. Come in for test scheduled a month from now and that’s it. So I figured if she can’t even help calm my concerns by having a 2… minute conversation, then I don’t trust her for anything in future. Found another doc who is available to discuss any and all concerns and located within a mile of this arrogant dr abusoufeh. Do not recommend her. Glad to see her go, hopefully far away but she will be someone else’s problem. Oh and in the middle of my suffering unable to get out of bed for months, she went on a 6 week vacation with all her patients just left waiting, no coverage while she left. Not a good doc in my opinion.

I couldn’t update my previous review so I will review Dr Rana on the treatment I have received since my review a month ago. My appointment was moved up, I saw the Dr, we reviewed the test results of a nerve study done by another Dr. The information was conflicting and didn’t make since. It was concluded another study needed to be done. That couldn’t be scheduled until Jan. I scheduled it, and asked to be put on the do not call list. I was able to get in almost immediately. Only 1/2 of the test needed to be done. A different diagnosis and treatment needed. Throughly impressed with Dr Rana and grateful for her attention to detail.

Taken over a year and numerous canceled appointments all with various excuses. I was late (not 30 min early), scheduled me with the wrong doctor, lie, rescheduled with same doctor, said I had never been there before they needed longer for the appointment, was an established patient, rescheduled again. This Doctor has wasted a year of my life. Left me in excruciating pain because she won’t do follow up visits.
