Dr. Randa Serag

Dr. Serag is simply THE BEST, SMARTEST & MOST COMPASSIONATE physician my husband and I have ever met...and we've met many as we are in our 70's!! She was wonderful during the years we had no medical concerns--great physicals and always responded to our inquiry emails...but when I got sick, with hard to diagnose issue, her expertise and caring was and is absolutely superb. There is simply no physician I trust more...and I come from an extended family of hailed physicians. We would follow her to the ends of the earth, 100%,!

She is nice, but is very often rushed and busy. Not much time to listen to patients during the appointment. Does not make follow up calls or ask to make a follow up appointment to try to figure out what is going on, unlike other amazing doctors I’ve been to that were concerned with my outcome, had great follow up, and were interested in correctly diagnosing and resolving the problem.

After moving from prestigious medical services and hospital centers in Boston we found it difficult to find a highly qualified primary care physician with whom we felt confident and well-cared for....until we met Dr. Serag. She is just such a great smart physician with a wonderful personality! We feel huge relief in having Dr. Serag as our PC Internist.

Dr Randa Serag is a treasure. She is bright, effervescent, focused on you the patient, and completely open and unaffected. I'm 66, and she is in the top two of primary care physicians I've ever had.

My husband and I both see Dr. Serag and are always impressed with how thorough she is and how much she really seems to LISTEN - which is hugely important. It's rare to find a doctor that really empathizes with her patients. She's an excellent addition to the UCLA staff.

The office was busy but I waited almost a full hour to see the doctor. She insinuated that my boyfriend was cheating on me/lying to me, questioned my use of an IUD (I am 20) though in this day and age it is fairly common for nulliparous women to have them, and gave me a prescription based on what I told her alone without even taking the time to run a test. No matter how positive the patient is that symptoms are caused by one particular thing, the doctor should at least try to determine if there could be another, possibly more dangerous, cause.
