Dr. Randall Curtis Gilbert, MD

MD is great but office is never answers or call back!! how do you make appt.?

It is impossible to deal with staff, they do not respond. They leave you on hold for 15 up to 30 min and come back to ask you what can they do for you, after you have asked for a simple appointment. It is nearly impossible to get a straight answer from him. He gives nothing but steroids for everything and anything. So much so that pharmacy's refuse to fill his prescriptions. There is no follow-up after exams. NO HELP!

Rushed through the appointment, didn't do any examination and did not talk to me about my condition. Worse, he diagnosed me with an illness I did not actually have, without having any labs or other evidence to back up the diagnosis. Every doctor I've seen since then has totally disagreed with Dr. Gilbert's "diagnosis" and been disturbed by it.

This doctor tried to diagnose me with lupus and put me on a high dose of Plaquenil when there was zero diagnostic evidence that I had lupus. My primary care doctor, second opinion rheumatologist and current rheumatologist all thought the diagnosis was wrong and irresponsible. Gilbert's exam consists of "turn your head. Raise your arms. Great!" There's no joint count; no review of symptoms against the lupus diagnostic criteria; nothing. Oh, and his receptionist does not understand patient privacy policies. There was an old woman in a wheelchair who saw the doctor shortly before I did. When she'd left, the receptionist leaned over the counter and started giving me all sorts of gossip about this woman, who she was, what she did for a living, and what her current condition was. Everyone in the waiting room heard this violation of privacy. I found myself wondering what this receptionist would be saying about me when I left, or if my privacy was respected by this practice at all.

Great Doctor,. He is well trained and knows his specialty. He is a great Internist and excells in Rheumatology. Better than the University and much more accessible.

Weird people for sure, the receptionist is so rude, and too old to be working there anymore, because she is impatient and doesn't listen, quick to send you on your way, and the doctor not much different.

Dr. Gilbert is the really nice doctor that will patiently answer your questions. He is never in a rush to get to the next patient. I actually look forward to office visits because it is always a pleasant experience!
