Dr. Randall C. Kahan

THE WORST DOCTOR EVER! He allowed his daughter to do part of my surgery without my consent or knowledge. I have her hand written surgical notes to prove it even though he denied it happening. Do not trust him. He also did not properly care for my complications post surgery and blew it off like it was nothing. Please do not put yourself in this man’s care.

I was a patient of Dr. Kahan for over 20 years. Had surgery to have an ovary removed. Dr. Kahan or his office never followed up that evening or the next day to see how I was doing. Immediately after surgery I did not feel well. I called his office 12 times and received to return call from Dr. Kahan. When I reported a fever a couple of days later, the nurse called back. I was sent to emergency room where they discovered my colon was lacerated. I had a very complicated surgery, long recovery time, numerous infections and another complicated surgery 8 months later. If he would have just followed up with me he could have saved me from the living hell I went thru,

I saw Dr. Kahan years ago for pain in my abdomen. Hesave my life! Apparently my ovary has wrapped itself in my appendix and Dr. Kahan made the decision to remove my appendix so it would not happen again. The biopsy of appendix came back showing I had a carcinoid tumor. This is an extremely rare type of cancer that once it is found it is usually to late to treat! By him removing the appendix he saved my life! He was very supportive and caring when I received the results. He knew I was a paramedic and brought me text books to look through to learn more about this type of tumor since it is so rare. He is truly an excellent Dr. to have on your side! Fast forward a couple years later and I had another problem and he took the time to preform a much needed in office procedure Due to my history that alleviated my fears and fixed the problem! I would definitely recommend Dr. Kahan. His expertise and the care he takes with his patients is the kind of Dr. you want in your corner!!

I met Dr. Kahan today to discuss surgical options for my situation and he was very thorough with me in reviewing options and he welcomed my questions and input. He took time during both my consult and exam to share information and provide opinions based on experience before we discussed final plans for surgery. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Kahan and know that I will be in good hands for my procedure.

Fat shamed me when I was at my most vulnerable. I'll never go back.

I’ve suffered from urge Incontinence for years; not able to go out if I’ve been drinking water, wearing bulky incontinence pads, waking up 3-4 times a night to void, standing up and having immediately incontinence. I have been receiving Botox bladder injections for about 3 years now after discussing my situation with Dr. Kahan. This treatment has given me my life back. No more incontinence at all. I have to have this about every 6-8 months but it’s quick, done in the office, and rates a 0-1 on the Pain Scale. I would say 0 but there is a slight sensation but not really pain. I would recommend Botox bladder injections for anyone suffering from urge incontinence. Check with Dr. Kahan to see if it helps other forms of incontinence as well. It has made a tremendous improvement to my life!

I was fully informed about my procedure from my discussion with Dr. Kahan. Everything went well and he went the extra mile to make sure I didn’t need an unnecessary procedure. Yes.....I would recommend Dr. Kahan.....??AB

I enjoyed meeting with and discussing my issue with Dr. Kahan. I'm not one of those women who needs to be treated like a baby or a child. He was very forthcoming and told me exactly what my problem was and that I didn't need surgery. He said it was something I could live with unless it affected my daily life....which it wasn't. I appreciated his no nonsense attitude and honesty. I will definitely see him should this issue require attention in the future!

He gave me bad news with no sympathy or guidance. He met with me for 15 minutes to talk about the health of my baby and could see he couldn’t care less.

I came in to talk to Dr. Kahan regarding a pregnancy. During my first visit I had to wait over an hour to see him but once I did see him, he went over my options and assured me he would work with me through this. He asked that I come back in two weeks to do an ultrasound and if I was still unsure about going through with the pregnancy he would walk me through the process and provide me with referrals. During my second visit I was brought in for the ultrasound. The tech walked me back to the waiting room and said I would be called in shortly. After waiting for about 30 minutes the receptionist asked why I was still there. I reminded her that I needed to still meet with Dr. Kahan. She stated I did not have an appointment so I reminded her that per my discussion at the last appointment I did. She went to the back to talk to someone (I assume Dr. Kahan) and upon her return she replied “Dr. Kahan said he would only see you if you planned to keep the baby otherwise I can give you a… list of referrals”. I was extremely disappointed, disgusted, and in awe that the doctor would send the receptionist to disclose confidential information to be heard by others in the waiting room so I left. Dr. Kahan did call trying to clarify the “misunderstanding” but unfortunately instead of helping he made things worse. He seemed to get aggravated with me given that I was upset and furthermore stated that he was trying to do me a favor and not charge me for a visit given that I didn’t have insurance. I am not sure how he reached this conclusions given that I provided this u formation at my first visit, so I can only assume he was racially profiling me given that I am Hispanic, so I became extremely angry at this point. I reminded him that I had payed my copay for the first visit and provided the office with my information and he replied “that’s besides the point”. I find Dr. Kahan to be misleading and insensitive with extremely poor bedside manners.
