Dr. Randall Wade Mckenna, DO

I experienced professional & ethical misconduct with Dr. McKenna. I was scheduled for a cervical injectate at 1pm on 8/15/24. Instead of keeping the scheduled time, he drastically changed the treatment plan without a discussion or my consent. He ordered 14,200 dollars in MRI's; kept me NPO for 24 hours and didn't start surgery until 7 pm; pulled the rug out from under me by refusing to do the cervical injection; misdiagnosed a lumbar tear; coerced me to sign a promissory note for a lumbar injection where I had surgery and an implant that caused severe harm to the central nervous system and charged me another 15,200K. It had no benefit. His nurse is not qualified or licensed to conduct a facial microneedle. It was the worst case of incompetence, greed and malpractice I have ever experienced. Dr. McKenna lacks integrity. It is no wonder that his former partner, Dr. Riordin, locked him out of their clinic , went separate ways and 2 wives have divorced him.

Dr. McKenna gave me back full use of my leg after other doctors who claimed to be specialist using stem cells could not help me. He was kind and willing to work out a strategy with me to get me the results I desired. After the first surgery my pain was alleviated greatly and my pain went from an 11 off the charts on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worse, to between 1 and 3 on any given day after the surgery. I wouldn't go to anyone else for an orthopedic injury. I traveled from my home in Florida to Texas several times to be treated by Dr. McKenna. I'm so glad I did. I feel great today thanks to Dr. McKenna's knowledge, talent and help.

Dr. McKenna's genuine concern for the well-being of this patient is evident every time I have seen him. He listened to my symptoms, how they interfere with my active life, and discussed with me the options I had for treatment and the benefits I might expect. The scope (surgery) for 1 knee went extremely well, the knee replacement has not been as successful (through no fault of Dr. McKenna, I simply did not adjust well to the prosthetic). He remained patient and persistent as we addressed additional physical issues that presented themselves. I chose him to perform surgery on my other knee, and I highly recommend him.

difficult to get to talk to a real person to make appointment. Got cut off 1st time, answering machine the 2nd and 3rd time. Finally got a receptionist who helped me get to someone who could schedule an appointment.

We work together....I feel he listens and we work together.

Another surgeon told me I needed bilateral hip replacements. I so wanted to believe Dr. McKenna could prevent that. Right after the injections he guaranteed me that the left hip was fixed and would not need a replacement. He thought that the right hip would do much better and I could delay replacement for two years. After spending $8000 and waiting six months I am in extreme pain. Recent x-rays showed no change in either hip. I'm awaiting hip replacement right now. Horrible waste of time and money.

Dr. McKenna operated on both shoulders and I have full use of both now.

Dr. McKenna is an amazing Dr and wastes NO time getting you fixed up.. He has a very down to earth, yet very informative bedside manner. WONDERFUL DOCTOR!!!

My mom has had shoulder surgery from this man 3 times and each time, it was not fixed correctly. Her first surgery was a rotator cuff tear and after a few years she had to have it done again. And, again, the tear was not corrected and her mobility severely diminished. Recently (last year), she made an appointment and suggested putting a cap in for repairs and she went through with it. Her ROM and mobility of the shoulder have again suffered from the hands of this man. She has been to 2 other doctors who let her know not only did he choose the wrong surgery for what she needed but he put the cap in wrong. My suggestion, go to a doctor with more reviews and do your homework before electing a surgeon. If you have knee or hip problems you should really try out Texas Hip & Knee Center and ask for Dr. Robert Schmidt. If you have shoulder problems, look elsewhere but please don't go here. Staying local in this situation will cause you problems down the road. Go to DFW!!!!

I had a total knee relaced 2 months ago. Dr. Mckenna and his two physician assistants have it totally going on. My experience has been very positive. I am walking without a walker or cane. I would highly refer patients to him. Very positive experience.
