Dr. Ratul Chatterjee, MD

I’ve been with Dr. Chatterjee for many years. And his office staff is great. I can’t imagine having any other PCP.

I thought I was choosing carefully , but beware. The patient is merely a number, a process for money to be made, promoting to buy a package for " Concierge Service" and when you don't respond to this offer, then he doesn't have time for you! Time with the doctor 5 minutes tops and that will be his own time on his computer, NOT addressing your questions, when you have a multiple questions which is concerning to my health. The staff @ Newport office, specially " coco" incompetent, uncaring, NO follow up, and calls not returned as promised, but may be they are stressed out over all the rules from the doctor.

I liked Dr Chatterjee and felt he cared about me as a patient. He listened but sometimes told me to take something and then changed his mind 6 months later.His office staff is horrible. Very incompetent,Coco especially.I changed Drs because of office staff and on one occasion was outright lied to about something.

One of the best doctors I've ever dealt with - tolerant, well informed, helpful, unhurried, thoughtful, kind. The doctor's PA (Matt) is first-rate and inspires the same trust as the doctor himself. He is excellent. The staff are helpful and have a good attitude.

As you walk into the office, the first thing I noticed is that it looks rundown and needs refurbishment. The examination room looked old and not very clean. It may have been clean, but I felt uncomfortable as if it wasn't clean. The receptionist spoke broken English and I wasn't sure she understood me while I was speaking. Dr. Chatterjee seemed knowledgeable, but I felt as if I was being rushed. Overall experience was poor.

I have been a patient of Dr Chatterjee for 9 years. I have always found Dr Chatterjee to be compassionate and listens to my concerns. He is also not afraid to pull a notepad out and direct you to buy things from the drug store or Trader Joe's instead of writing a prescription. I have also seen his PA who is bright and competent. His staff have always been friendly to me and I usually don't have to wait long. Lately I have been concerned that I see other Dr's & not Dr Chatterjee. I like his PA more but prefer Dr Chatterjee of course. The other Dr's do rush me and seem to jump to conclusions before going over my history.

I moved to HB and need a doctor in HB, So, I looked for Doctors with good raitings and picked Chatterjee. Took over a month to get an apoint ment. Then I get the PA. seemed like a smart guy and Matt is. But I prefer seeing the Doctor I sighned up for. After two visits I get to see the Doctor upon my request. Thurd visit then fourth. So 6 months have gone by and Im still sick.

Overall experiences slow to help matain a helthy life
