Dr. Raymond Ernst Banfer, MD

Dr. Banfer is the very BEST Doctor ever. He treated myself and my family as he would his own. He is a wonderful and compassionate person with so very much knowledge to share with all his patients.

He was my primary care physician for over 20 years and was a very caring and patient doctor. He knew who I was before he even looked at my chart. I wasn't just a "number" to him. He was proactive in your healthcare. He did not hesitate to have tests done to get down to the root of your problem and diagnosed problems when even I wasn't aware of it (blood clot). I was wondering what happened to him. I hadn't been to see him in a couple of years and when I called his office in Annapolis to make an appointment for a physical in 2005 , I was told he was no longer practicing there and they wouldn't give me any further information. That is my only complaint. I wouldn't have followed him to Cumberland but it would have been nice to know what had happened to him. If you live in Cumberland and are looking for a good primary care physician, I highly recommend Dr. Banfer.

Dr. Banfer is smart. He is patient. He had excellent follow up and cares for his patients as a whole person. He will assist you with acute problems as well as chronic conditions. He is rare among doctors for his style of practice.

Dr. Banfer has been my doctor since I was 19 years old. No matter what my insurance is, I will continue to see him. He is professional, caring, and treats his staff well. He believes in patient education and makes sure you understand his instructions and prescriptions.
