Dr. Raymond Tze Lam, MD

Dr. Lam is a part of my mother’s care team and she has been slowly deteriorating since she has been in the hospital under his care. I have heard nothing from this doctor. He orders the nurses to do things but then does not put the order in the computer so they can actually do it. He does not communicate with family even though we are at the hospital all day. My mother has been without nutrition for 2 days because she cannot swallow and pulled her feeding tube out in a fit of delirium so now he’s just starving her! He came into her room today and ran out before I had a chance to say anything to him. He did not acknowledge me even though I was sitting right there. He might be racist but I’m not jumping to conclusions because I really have not even spoke to the man. Every other doctor has at least introduced themselves when they came in. My brother and I want to have her transferred to a different hospital closer to family but he will not allow it. And it is not because she is too… critical to be moved but more so because he doesn’t want to lose a patient with such good insurance and because it would require him to call another doctor and actually consult about a patient. Yes, I’m venting! But what I’m saying is all true! This doctor needs to retire because he is no longer putting his patients first.
