Dr. Raymond Louis Schettino, MD

I recently had an office visit with Dr Schettino and he is one of the most unprofessional doctors that I have ever seen. I arrived to my appointment 30 minutes early and I waited over an hour before I saw him. He did not offer an apology for running behind schedule. He did not even say hello when he entered the room. He was extremely disheveled. He was very disrespectful & had poor bedside manner. I was truly uncomfortable around him, and I would never recommend anyone to him.

I've been a patient for at least ten years. He is excellent and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Schettino is the most excellent, knowledgeable, experienced, talented, kindest, person and physician that anyone could ever have. If you are lucky enough to have found him, I would recommend that you trust everything he says because he knows exactly what he is doing. In 2006 I had gone to so many ENT's I had lost count, and every one of them said that I didn't have a problem. They told me to see a psychiatrist or an allergist because I didn't have an ENT problem. I went to see Dr. Robyn Levy, an allergist, who, confirmed that I did NOT have an allergy and she told me she knew of a brilliant ENT physician named Dr. Schettino. I felt like I was dying and I had so much pain and was suffering more than I can say. When Dr. Schettino performed the endoscopy he saw that my adenoid was very infected AND that I had an area of infection in my sinus that was close to my trigeminal nerve, as well as other problems. He saved my life and I wish he specialized in all medical specialties so… that I would never have to go to any other doctor.

He removed a tumor in my parotid gland and did an amazing job.

I went to this office because of the high ratings and years of experience, but all they did was a CT of my sinuses - Dr. Schettino did not even look in my nose or do any kind of physical exam at my visit. In the end his conclusion was my sinuses looked normal on CT, and I was already on a steroid nasal spray, so there was nothing more to do. So why do I wake up congested every day? Why do I have to blow my nose several times a day even though I have no other allergy symptoms? Seems like if the answer is not surgery, he has no solutions for you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schettiono's since 1994. It is no exaggeration to say that he saved my life when Dr. Schettino performed surgery to remove thyroid cancer. He also performed sinus surgery a few years later. I have severe allergies and was having sinus ifections constantly. Since my sinus surgery I rarely have sinus infections, He has also helped me to determine that some vision issues I have are ocular migraines. Dr. Schettino also treated me for salivary gland infection following radiation therapy after the thyroid cancer. In a word he is BRILLIANT! If I could, I would see him for everything. He has also treated my husband, son and daughter. He performed sinus and tonsil surgery on my husband and son. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Schetinno is great. He was recommended from a colleague and I just had major surgery- a week later I am doing great. Yes, he comes across a little short at times- but it is not because of lack of care- he is just very committed to his work. Yes- the wait in the waiting room can be annoying... And I have told him this. I still give him a 5.

After being a patient for several years, it seemed to me there was no desire to find the cause of multiple infections just to keep me coming in over and over. Many times, the overly strong antibiotics prescribed would backfire and cause a fungal infection. Much happier and healthier not being his patient.

I met with Dr. Schettino about a condition that required surgery after a 3 hour wait. He was confident that he could perform a very complex surgery and made light of my concerns. I agreed to schedule the procedure because it was urgent but was still uncomfortable with Dr. Schettinos lack of concern for the very real risks involved. Prior to the procedure I had to have a very detailed CT scan which required contrast. I explained to him and his office staff that I was highly allergic to the contrast but again was told not to worry about it. The day of the CT scan, 5 days prior to my surgery, I was informed that the Imaging center would not do the scan because they had not been notified of my allergy. This was the last straw in dealing the most unprofessional medical office I have ever encountered. I canceled the procedure with Dr. Schettino that day. I had the procedure at another highly respected facility and required a team of surgeons to ensure that everything was handled in… the best possible manor. One member of that team said that no one surgeon should have attempted this procedure on his own. After all was said and done I received a bill from Dr. Schettino for a $100.00 cancellation fee.

Didn't come off even remotely sincere. Unhelpful and waste of time
