I am stunned by the lackadaisical manner in which the staff handled my family member's serious medical condition. They were not at all proactive in getting to the root of his illness. They offered very little advice as to how to proceed in a very serious situation, and if it were not for our continual questioning and persistance, they would not have ordered the lab work that was necessary in which to try and make a diagnosis. A very important test was requested and upon waiting awhile for the results, it was told to us that the lab lost the sample. This was told to us not when they learned of the loss, rather on the next appt. my father happened to have. Another test was ordered and submitted and we heard nothing from Silbar's office for 3 weeks. Finally we made the phone call to them and was told the test was negative, yet another round of antibiotics was ordered. There was no further effort made on behalf of Silbar's office to find out what we were dealing with despite the fact… that he was still sick. We were told to see a G.I. doctor. We went to the G.I. doctor, waited 1 hour 20 min. past the appt. time, only to that Dr. for a ten minute appt. He told my father (who was the one that was sick) to come back when he was feeling better for an endoscopy, but in the mean time, you should see your primary care. He did not examine my father in any shape or form. We contacted the primary care a.k.a. Dr. Silbar's office as were told to do, however they replied that an appt. wasn't necessary until after my father saw the G.I. doctor. IN the mean time, my father continued to worsen and now he sits in intensive care and in isolation. It turns out he tested positive for the condition that Silbar's office said came back negative. What is worse is the superbug is highly contagious and my father has been around my mother, sister, many other in-home health care providers, and many out in the public. This is his third hospital stay since the ordeal started in June. Throughout the many appts my father had with Dr. Silbar...he never actually was seen by Dr. Silbar. Instead, it was his PA who took on the case. I am from the northern part of the U.S. and I have never experienced such poor health care or poor bedside manner as I witnessed my father receiving in Jacksonville, Fl. For years I have heard from various people that if you get sick, don't get sick in Florida. Now I know why. I believe that no one in that office knows what they are doing - from the receptionists at the front desk on up to Dr. Silbar himself. Even the waiting room was filthy when we were there. My parents set up an account on their patient portal in order to see test results sooner and have an electronic copy of all his medical care. To this day, they have not entered any of my dad's medical records. They have simply used it as email, which was a step up from the speed at which they returned phone calls. They do not seem to have systems and processes in place that would make them a desirable or even safe medical facility. Based on the experience we had at this office, I highly advise anyone to seek medical care elsewhere.

Arrogant, demeaning, and shows no compassion. Been seeing him for 10 years, he just gets worse with every visit. Finally ditching him for a real doctor who cares about his patients.

I was one of Dr.Silbar,s patient 35 years ago. He has always been there for me. With all the specialists I see, when I get really sick nobody willl do like Dr. Silbar He is good at diagnosing you when you are sick. We haven,t always agreed over antibiotics but he usually gives in and I get better. He is very special to me like family. I am thankful he is still in business with the ways the Doctors have been treated since under the current administration. People with cancer, severly damaged backs can no longer get the narcotics needed to ease their pain. This is outrageous. Obama has punished the people who are in desperate need of relief simple because drug addicts somehow get the pills from irresponsible Doctors. Dr. Silbar has never rushed me he cares about what is going on in my life and I would highly recommend him to anybody. Just be fair and treat him like you would want to be treated

Been a patient for 16 years...great, personal physician.

Dr. Silbar has been my family physician for nearly 15 years. He is consistant and has a caring bedside manner, easy to talk to. I have recommended Dr. Silbar to many people over the years and they have been very happy with his service as well. I know he is in high demand and runs a very busy office. There have been a few times that I have had to wait but he is worth the wait.

I would never go to this Doctor again ever
