Dr. Rebecca Lynn Dolgin, MD

I've been dealing with anxiety and depression for several years now. A couple of months into seeing Dr. Dolgin, I experienced a psychiatric episode followed by a deep depressive episode. Dr. Dolgin helped me get through this tough time in my life and her work has allowed me to reframe my thinking in truly impactful ways. She is, without question, the best therapist I've ever had. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to tackle depression and anxiety.

She is knowledgeable about current medications for psychiatry, and careful in their use. I like that she is an MD and therefore able to treat both my mind and my body in an integrated fashion. She is a caring person and an effective doctor. Her office is comfortable and relaxing, which helps very much with my visits.

I had been searching for a psychiatrist but was reluctant to actually follow through and make a call or appointment. I’m guessing it was probably because my previous experience with a couple of therapists weren’t great. However, I finally did call and met with Dr. Dolgin and I’m so glad I did. This was the first time I felt comfortable with therapy and we met several times and came up with a treatment plan for my depression. I’m in a much better place now, and my only regret is I didn’t see Dr. Dolgin earlier. One other note, not sure why this location says Oregon as I saw her in her Boulder CO office.

Dr. Dolgin combines a scientific approach with true empathy. If you are looking for someone who can balance medication and counseling, she is the best there is.

I really appreciated seeing Dr Dolgin. She was easy to talk to , thorough, and personable. It was easy to work with her. She listened to me and was always willing to work with me. I highly recommend her.

Might be a strange title, but Dr Dolgin solved several issues that other providers did not recognize. The medications I had been prescribed were not only too strong, they were opposite of what I needed and I ended up with serotonin syndrome. Dr Dolgin reviewed my medical history and my life experiences that I shared. She then made gradual changes in my medications and helped me discuss and work through some difficult situation I've dealt with over the years. I did not realize how much those past issues were affecting my actions and reactions today. I am now on one low dose medication that simply keeps my moods a bit more level. I am so grateful that I feel like me =o) I have relief from my anxiety and depression. I can go through "normal" moods with everyday situation that come up: after hearing sad news I am sad instead of devastated. I am happy when it's appropriate and not hyperactive and unmanageable. I am concerned when something negative is happening instead of overwhelmed with… anxiety. There have been a few extreme events that I was devastated to hear, like a death in the family, but that would be a normal emotional reaction. Dr Dolgin had helped me with some basic life skills that I continually draw on and now I can emotionally function in society again. I trust her and would highly recommend her to anyone struggling emotionally. I honestly did not feel I could get better, but I did!
