Dr. Rebecca Lynn Hurst

It is very sad when you are told you have two neurological disorders. But what is even sadder is when you go to TGH for a specific treatment for 10 days. On the 7th some wet nose resident says he or they, speaking for the "team" out of turn and says that he/they think I don't have one of them. I immediately asked to speak to Dr. Hurst. Heard nothing from anyone! And, he shows up right as you start eating you're breakfast and asks if he can examine you. So I said, "do you really think this is an opportune time". So he says, "if you don't want to be examubed fine." So I said please leave. He finally did. Asked the nurse if she could find Dr. Hurst. She finally shows up mid to late afternoon with him and another. She refused to speak with my wife and I without them present. I understand it is a teaching hospital, but I believe she could have spoken to us and then asked if we could speak with him since it is a teaching hospital. Instead, he literally accused me of not asking him to leave… nicely and we got into it and I confronted him in front of her! Sad! Apparently sge was home sick yesterday but why didn't he or someone else follow up instead of having to wait? Sad!

I refuse to ever use Dr.Hurst again.I have been to Tampa General on multiple stays and have got two blood clots on two different occasions from her not trusting me the patient that something was wrong with me.And she was caught giving my information to people in the waiting room without my permission.Please search for another Dr.

Could never answer my questions. Blew me off. Ignored me when I was in pain. Treated me as if I was less than human.
