Dr. Rebecca Denise Marshall

Our teenager had Dr. Marshall while in the hospital for a psychiatric emergency. We’ve had a great deal of experience with pediatric psychiatry experts at several other hospitals (UCLA, Johns Hopkins, U of W, etc.) Our experience with Dr. Marshall compared to all of these other psychiatrists was shocking. She dismissed our child’s documented diagnosis and refused to allow family members to visit him. The floor nurses were quite kind and we could tell that they were also aware of Dr. Marshall’s deficits.

We've worked with several pediatric psychiatrists over the years. Dr. Marshall did not adapt to a highly individualized case and instead used a template approach resulting in uninformed diagnoses. Unfortunately we're not the only family who has had this experience with Dr. Marshall. She needs to be pulled off rotation and receive more training and oversight.
