Her and her staff are the best!

Dr. Studinger performed a delayed diep flap reconstruction on me after bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer. As it is a complicated procedure, I was not surprised by complications, but when I had multiple compounding issues that I reported to Dr. Studinger, she blew me off until I wound up in hospital for 7 days with infections, multiple wound dehiscence, and low blood count. Further mismanagement in hospital lead to delayed treatments and further complications. Wound up going to a wound clinic to find a new surgeon and am undergoing therapy to fix the damage. I absolutely understand complications happen, but not listening to the patient and minimizing issues is unacceptable and, frankly, dangerous. I hope this changes in her practice so others do not have to go through what I have. Additionally, she is very difficult to contact and her MA is rude. That being said, her office manager and scheduler are very kind. My advice: find a different plastic surgeon.

(Breast cancer survivor): Always late on appointments and zero communication skills with patients in a field built on patient doctor communication. She did my direct to implant construction after mastectomy and no matter how many times I tried to provide her input to what I want in the construction, and I actually inquired about the expander to allow me input to the final results but she kept brushing it off saying this all comes after the first implant construction is done. Pretty much that was not the case. I switched to another PS and I had to go back a step to have an expander fitted in which means be subjected to an additional unnecessary surgery that could have been avoided if she just bothered to spend a few minutes to listen to what I really wanted out of the construction. It seems that she thought she knows better than I do about how my breast should look like, which is a horrible assumption that undermines the patient’s opinion in something very personal. She never… provided me input into exercises that I need to do after mastectomy which pretty much impacted my range of motion (new PS did that without even me asking). She always made me feel rushed that she wants to get out of the room as soon as possible although every time I went, I waited for over 45 min to one hour to be seen. Her staff all are great except for one lady who is unprofessional, rude and even incompetent messing up my disability work 3-4 times at a stressful time in my life where I didn’t want the extra stress of fixing her paperwork mistakes. Saw her for cosmetic procedure...couldn’t be happier with the results. Talked me out of more expensive options - that would have been a mistake!!! Thank you Dr Studinger

I'm very late with my review but its only because I've never written one before (besides I have no complaints) ........ I had double reconstuction done to my breast (DIEP FLAP) and I still get sooo many compliments on the work Dr. R. Studinger did! My oncologist always comments on what a great job she did on them. They are very natural looking and I'm very pleased!!!! Let me not forget to mention her genuine concern about my questions and how I was feeling and the ability to give me satisfying answers , and her gentle, caring, comforting bedside manner is Stellar. I had my procedure done in 2010 so I'm 8 yrs in and will be visiting her for further revision soon because just like she told me, we would be in a long term relationship because it takes time for the body to heal and that it would be necessary for the best results! So I've learned patients and like I said I'm very pleased!!!! Cancer is such a HORRIBLY UGLY Disease and its already taken friends and family from many of us, to… have Dr.'s like Rebecca Studinger is a highlight and I'm grateful for her and her expertise!!!! Very dissatisfied with the way this doctor handled my procedure. She started off with the intent to follow through with everything we discussed before the procedure. But afterwards, I awoke with less than what was agreed upon and a promise to finish later. From there forward it became all lies. Until I said enough and looked for another surgeon to fix the hideous scares she left me with. Multiple doctors agreed that she did a horrible job and the results were not aesthetically pleasing. Please find another doctor who cares more about the patient than the money.

Dr studinger is the most compassionate Dr I have ever seen. She Evan came in on a Sunday to fix a stitch that popped..

Had a very bad experience with her. Did an operation on me she knew nothing about how to do. Lied about my condition after wards

Dr. Studinger is excellent but her staff needs work. They got the wrong tests pre-approved from my insurance, when you leave a message it takes 3 days to get a call back, and my RX for tests needed something added to it and faxed to test facility which was never done, even gave the woman the fax number to send it to. Requested test results to be faxed to me, never done. Receptionist said I needed to fill out form for test results but she never faxed the form to me.
