Unbelievable unwillingness of office staff to allow me to have my appt because I forgot my insurance cards at home - I have been a patient on Keck USC for a few years and my profile is active in their system. I was referred by another physician, Dr. Kaiser, whose staff made the appt for me. Clearly, my insurance is active, however their “system” indicates that my insurance card info. is outdated (2017) - I can’t believe the lack of professionalism and compassion of these staff members who were unwilling to make a phone call on my behalf to the insurance provider to verify my status. I explained that I traveled a long distance from my home for this appt, and they didn’t care - it’s such a shame that a highly regarded physician has unqualified staff who can’t even exercise minimum common sense to resolve this type of situation. I am currently experiencing very bad health issues and I am extremely disappointed to come across “robot like” individuals at a reputable doctor’s office who… simply don’t care about the patients.
