Getting a needle in your eye is not fun. At all. Dr. Katira is truly the kindest, most empathetic doctor. She has worked with me to give me maximum numbing drops (now a gel, which works so much better for me), updates me in language I can understand on progress, and even switched meds when she thought it was not progressing as it should. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Katira. If you have to go through something as awful as this, you want her as your doctor!

Dr. Katira is an excellent and kind hearted person, other than being an exceptional doctor. Almost 10 years ago I became her patient and I am more than happy with the way I am treated. Her surgery on my left eye about 6+ years ago is holding up well so far. I am monitored well eversince.

Dr Katira has been my Retina Specialist for many years and more importantly as I developed wet AMD. She is caring and gentle. She has aggressively worked to save my vision and used the most advanced injections available. She continues to explore additional alternatives and so far my family-vision problem has improved a good deal and stabilized. This is a miracle and I am very pleased.

Very well run practice, easy to schedule first-time appt, tech saw me right on time and Dr Katira came in ~1 hr later after all the pics were taken and eyes were dilated. She was very gracious & knowledgable. Exactly what I was looking for in an ophthalmologist with a specialty in macular degeneration.
