Dr. Rhonda Lynn Pena, MD

I went to her with concerns of breast cancer and family history with my Mother and her sister. She tells me Breast Cancer is not hereditary and if it was, I would have been younger and have gotten it. Later I get genetic testing done and guess what I have a mutation for breast cancer. She was so dismissive and rude . A year later I go her associate and he asks me why I haven't had genetic testing done yet due to my family history. Never went back to her!!

Very informative doctor

Dr. requires patients to remove shoes and wear previously-worn slippers (yuck). A 60-inch TV in the tiny reception area blares a toxic talk show. Receptionist is so vitriolic, it is surreal. Dr. aggressively pushes botox & fillers to patients who are simply seeking medical care. Avoid.

Dr. Pena took care of me in the hospital and probably saved my life. She took care of me even though my problem was in my colon. She made sure she saw me weekly when released from hospital, when visiting nurses could not be obtained. She arranged for immediate colonoscopy when the endoscopy center wanted to delay the test. She also made followup phone calls to see how I was. I would recommend this physician to anyone needing an ob/gyn, as I found her one of the most caring physicians that I have met..

I research EVERYTHING thoroughly... please know that before you read on. Dr. Pena met me very early on (about 8 weeks into my pregnancy), and from our first consult, I knew she was the OB doc I had searched high and low for -- she was IT! I had an immediate level of comfort with her and knew that she could guide me through the uncertainty that comes with each trimester. I always approached each "check in" with nervous anticipation, but she always quieted my fears with her extensive knowledge, and her easily understood explanation of what was happening always put me at ease. She even went out of her way to be there for my delivery (when it was not her shift) and gave incredible care to my newborn son. She is an absolute professional, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any woman seeking OB/GYN care.

I am so happy that I chose Dr Pena as my doctor for my first pregnancy. I was new to the area and unfamiliar with any doctors in the area. After some online research I can across Dr Pena and knew she would be perfect. She was so easy to talk to, professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel so comfortable. She guided me through my whole pregnancy, and eventually delivered my son on May 22nd. I'm so thankful for all she did for myself and my family.

Dr. Pena was my back up doctor and I met her a couple of times before I was due to deliver. Well I ended up going in Christmas day and was so pleased to see her there. She is very professional, compassionate, and just an all around wonderful person. She addressed my concerns, broke down my anxieties and was a great cheerleader. I moved about 20 miles further from her office but decided to stay with her. Would recommend to anyone!

my name is merry, I was transferred to her from york hospital because of some of their services I did not like when I was in my last term of pregnancy. Dr Pena is so nice and so professional, I had my first baby and worried of natural birth and almost willing to have C section, but she was so nice to explain me why It was not first choice and made me relaxed and ready to have my baby naturally and finally I made it. she is a really caring doctor. I will go back If I am having my second baby. That was so happy to switch to her.

Dr Pena, was professional and caring all through my time as her patient. the delivered my beautiful baby girl and was so supportive during my labour. She was understanding, supported me through the delivery ..... It was a joy to have her as my doctor. I think I want her to deliver my next baby ...... whenever that is.

I would recommend Dr. Pena to anyone in need of an OB/GYN. She is fabulous. Very thorough when addressing concerns, and she is very professional. She sat in my L/D room with me for the majority of my L/D, even when she wasn't needed. She was great to my family, and treated me with such kindness. My pregnancy and delivery of my child were great experiences, and all of that can be attributed to Dr. Pena! I'm very sorry to hear that she left Clearfield, but I hope she's moving on to bigger and better experiences!
