Dr. Richard E Blackburn, MD

My husband had an appointment today with Dr. Blackburn and I cannot believe how rude this man was!! We traveled about an hour and a half to see him. My rheumatologist recommended my husband to see a neurologist to rule out possible MS. When he came into the room we could already tell his additude was terrible. He wouldn't listen when my husband was trying to explain his symptoms he told him he didn't have a magic wand to fix him. As would anyone this irritated my husband and didn't want to see him but the other dr there Dr. Blackburn then proceeded to tell my husband if he didn't leave he would call the police. I contacted one of the office managers right after we left he she pretty much approved his behavior. This isn't how you are supposed to treat patients or anyone for that matter. Y'all beware before you choose him for a provider.

Gave him our records, declined to see us, guess it was to much to sort through 300 pages of well documented records! Wish I had looked at the reviews before deciding!

Excellent experience and very thorough.

Zero compassion, doesn't listen to concerns, cold and uncaring. He was so rude to me and told me I would "just have to live with" daily migraines. He showed absolutely no interest into them finding out what is causing them. He acted like he didn't believe me and as if I was a nuisance to him. I will be seeking help elsewhere.

This guy needs his own brain examined for the part that controls empathy and compassion. He's an incompetent condescending jerk and shouldn't be allowed to see patients. If he was ever a good Doctor, he is burned out now and it's obvious he can't stand his job nor does he do it. Read all the reviews about him; it's not just one person's opinion or experience with him. Hospitals should take notice!! Keep him away from your loved ones!!

He is an absolute jerk. No bedside manner at all. Very rude and thinks he holier than though. In other words if you can go somewhere else GO!!

Waste of my time and money to see him. He and staff are cold and uncaring. Diagnosis was waaaay off.

I have been happy with Dr. Blackburn. He has been good with my mom and I haven't had any issues. Staff have all been very nice.

I came repeatedly to his office begging for him help me. I kept experiencing dizzieness and didn't know why as well as nerve tingling, nerve burning pains in my right side of my body over and over. I was dx with bladder issues due to neurological causes as well. He kept telling me its fibromyalgia and dismissing me. He refused to see me when I complained of vertigo. I fell weekend and hit a marble coffee table and had a concussion. Forgot to mention he atributed my health to anxiety issues mental problems. I was referred back to see him after my concussion. I was diagnosed with dyautonomia... POTS syndrome and I have nerve damage in my central nervous system called the autonomic nervous system...and I had another couple concussions until finding out...thank.s for t believing I was sick. I was do not have fibromyalgia wrongly u diagnosed. It's odd that you agreed so much that dizzieness, nerve pain, urinary retention, nausea, daily migraines, fit the fibromyalgia dx. I'm not mentally… I'll I'm sick and I was u diagnosed with fibromyalgia. You made me cry so many times in your office. You were the mean doctors that people with real medical illnesses fight everyday. I'm on disability....no thanks to you. I can't walk some days bc of my nerve damage. You could have helped me if you tried and did your job.

Old school environment, definitely not aware of latest research and approaches. Staff are not friendly at all and neither is the doctor. Do not recommend.
