Dr. Richard A. Cuneo, MD

Prescribed me blood pressure medications to combat what he described as migraines. Didn't remotely look over my previous MRI with me which later, when interpreted by a true professional, revealed serious anoxic brain damage. I'd avoid him if you could because it's mostly about prescribing meds with him.

After months of ER visits and countless visits to my neurologist no one could pin down my diagnosis. My symptoms ranged from a simple diagnosis to a complex one that could tarnish my career. Doctors were stumped. I was referred to Dr. Cuneo who spent over a hour alone with me asking me questions writing everything down. He then spent another 30 minutes alone with my husband. He brought us in together and told me I had a very rare neurological condition. What a relief to finally have answers!! I am forever grateful to Dr. Cuneo and his amazing bedside manner. He's one of a kind!!!

I saw him for migraines. I was in his office for 3 hours and he spent less than 10 minutes with me. A brand new fellow was left to ask me questions and had to keep running out of the room to confer with someone. When the doctor came in, he looked me over briefly, asked a few questions and then spoke mostly to the fellow instead of me. I was having vertigo, so he had me lie on my side FACING THE WALL and then climbed over me and looked at the side of my eye and said I had nystagmus. He threw a bunch of prescriptions at me for migraine with no explanation of what they were for or how their use might lead me to a better understanding of what was causing my headaches. That was it. Turns out I had a benign brain tumor.

Was very impressed by how he listened and by the thoroughness of his exam and review of my medical records. Because of this he didn't order a bunch of unnecessary tests. He made thoughtful and practical suggestions.

Disappointing,unclear follow up. EXPENSIVE!
