I have been in private practice as a spinal surgeon in Johnson City since 1994. I stress non-operative treatment for the majority of spinal conditions. When surgery is indicated, my preference is to use less invasive techniques. I was the first spinal surgeon in the area to perform outpatient lumbar microdiscectomies, and I am the only physcian in the Tri-Cites performing outpatient lumbar and cervical discetomies in a free-standing surgical center. I perfom 150-175 outpatient spinal procedures a year at The Mountain Empire Surgery Center.

Dr Duncan is always smiling when he walks into my room, makes me feel like he loves his work and care of his patients. I’ve always got relief of my back pain with the procedures he has done . I’ve had several denervation along with steroid injections at times . Great great doctor !!!!

Dr. Duncan is awesome, informative friendly and professional. Appointments are on time and the on line follow up is very helpful with no travel time and dr Duncan is punctual and all of the above. I highly recommend him.
