I would not recommend this Doctor.

Dr. Hayek is absolutely amazing! Words cannot express my gratitude to him and his team for their professionalism, kindness and the best quality of care I have ever received. My only regret is that I didn't go to him sooner. If you are reading this, please don't wait. Make your appointment today. As you see, when I went to him, I had already lost most of my mobility and was in constant pain. I had little to no quality of life. I could not walk without a walker at the young age of 50 years old. Both of my surgeries went very well with minimal discomfort. In less than 2 months I am very pleased to write that as of today, I am pain/walker/cane free and can even tie my own shoes. I am looking forward to planning for my next 5k walk thanks to Dr. Richard Hayek.

I am a orthopedic surgical nurse with 30 years experience in chicago and the northwest suburbs. Nurses who work in surgery know who are the great surgeons are. I wanted the BEST physician for my father. I chose Dr.Hayek! He is a gifted, technically skilled, Exceptional surgeon. My father had great results with him.I highly recommend him because he is a humanitarian and an expect in his field !

Dr.Hayek has been my doctor for the last 15 years, Over the years i've had both of my knees and both of my shoulders replaced, Everyone of my surgeries went smoothly and my pain was managed very well post surgery. if you are an individual who wants to regain their mobility and quality of life i highly recommend Dr. Hayek. i appreciate the professionalism and concern he has for his patients. if you have an appointment at his office you are seen in a timely fashion which to me demonstrates his respect for others time.in my personal opinion he personifies what a good doctor should be and is. Dr. Haydek performed a hip replacement on me. He explained everything fully. I was admitted on a Friday morning and went home the same evening. Two days later I was walking without the walker. I'm still doing PT and pain is less with everyday. I was very happy with the end result and would definitely recommend him.

He left my mom in pain for 7 months and did not help her , but helped her in charging her insurance ,mom did two mri , mom got her 2nd opinion and hip replacement is a must ????

Surgery was a success. No longer need a cane.

I went to see Dr. Hayek for ankle and foot pain due to falling arch. He told me I needed surgery, and explained all the things that he would have to do. Which floored me. I've seen him many times before and surgery is always a last resort. I wasn't having it, so he prescribed an orthotic boot that you wear inside a gym shoe. It's fairly expensive  and not very pretty.  It got me through the day at work. I noticed when I was not wearing it, I had to watch every step and the fear of the pain that I would have. After several months I opted for the surgery. He ended up doing four of the five procedures. The recovery consist of eight weeks non weight-bearing plus therapy. Which is not easy. I was off work for three months, but surgery was well worth it. He told me it could be up to a year commitment but everybody heals differently. But what is this commitment when I can now walk, dance and everything that I need to do.  Eight months later and still improving. I have my life back whether… it's for one year or 30 years. Thank you Dr Hayek for keeping me moving all these years. You are an amazing surgeon and I will be forever grateful.

Had to undergo surgery this week to fix his mistakes. Bedside manner is zero. I will never recommend this doctor!

Dr. Richard Hayek replaced both my hips in 2017. His care, concern, explanation of the procedures made me feel so at ease with my surgeries. I highly recommend him for his specialty in surgery.
