I was sent to this man by my employer. I understand that he was hired by my employer to say that I was fine, which he did. The unfortunate part is that I had a herniated disc in my back that was piching a nerve and had 2 other bulging dics. I have since seen several other doctors, all of which have said that fusion surgery will be needed. I have scheduled the surgery for next month. Either Dr. Karr is a complete moron who has no clue what he is doing or he is so morally challenged that he is incapable of giving a proper diagnosis because he is paid to do differently. Either way, Richard Karr is to be avoided.

Both my wife and myself have had surgery, with great results. He does not jump into surgery, he tries other ways to relieve the problem first.

I was sent to Dr. Karr by a workers compensation carrier for an Indedendant Medical Evaluation. The nurse walked us to a room and took the media with my MRI.After about 10 minutes Dr. Karr came into the room and told us that our doctors were completely wrong and the test does not support the complaint. In short the exam was over before it began.Dr. Karr clearly works for the insurance industry. Infact one can find access to his appointment schedule posted on the internet for insurance carriers to review before scheduling evaluations.My opinion is this quack would walk into court and question why a quadrapalegic can't drive a truck.

After reading the previous reviews, I was scared to death to go to my apointment... I have to say, I was very impressed with Dr. Karr's professionalism and care. He was very respectful and gentle, during my examination. As a person in the medical field, I appreciated how straight to the point he was and how he listened to my complaints and concerns, without letting me side track (which I always do when talking about my injury). His staff was very kind and helpful, especially when it came to getting directions during the 118mile trip there. His office is very clean and welcoming. Overall, my experience was very pleasant and far from the previous reviews.

If you're seeking a doctor who will exhibit a caring manner, openness, and presence...a doctor who will respect your privacy and provide an accurate diagnosis...choose another doctor.
