Dr. Richard Kauffman, MD

Dr. Kauffman is the best doctor I have ever had. He has been my primary care doctor for about nine years. He spends time listening to patients and is knowledgeable in a number of areas. I have never felt rushed in an appointment he takes the time needed. I have never had difficulty getting an appointment, even on short notice. A great doctor!

My husband and I drive from Alpharetta to West Paces Ferry just because we love our doctor. He LISTENS and HEARS us. He is VERY patient and kind and is spot on in his diagnosis. He goes above and beyond in my husband's care with Stage 4 Lung cancer and kidney cancer. It don't get any better than Dr. Richard Kauffman.

I stopped seeing this doctor after realizing he never correctly diagnosed my problems several times.

I believe Dr Kauffman is a wonderful dr in so many ways. He is a good listener, very caring , thorough , knowledgeable and so friendly. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful , the office is beautiful and convenient for me. I recommend this Dr to anyone looking for an internist.

This is an amazing office. I was very impressed with Dr. Kauffman and have referred friends to him. I have found it difficult to find a doctor in this day and time of short appointments and insurance hassles, who will actually listen. Dr. Kauffman doesn't behave as if he is in a hurry and takes time to listen to you and is respectful of your experiences and input. His professionalism, empathy, and obvious knowledge was a refreshing experience. The office staff is also friendly and professional. I appreciate that the office has multiple locations and walk in time in the mornings. I have never had a problem getting an appointment quickly. I would recommend this office to my nearest and dearest. I have gone to the West Paces location, the Dunwoody location, as well as the Alpharetta location and had great experiences at every office. This practice clearly has a high standard for doctors, medical staff, and office staff. I would recommend this office to my nearest and dearest.

Dr. Kauffman erroneously told me that I had matastasized ovarian cancer, and he based this off of one radiology scan. I did not have ovarian cancer, but had an infection from a previous surgery. My family and I were sent on a whirlwind of suffering, fear, and uncertainty due to the negligence of this doctor. No reputable doctor would tell someone they definitevely had ovarian cancer without ordering other tests. Furthermore, such a finding can not be determined until the cells are looked at under a microscope. This person should not be practicing medicine if this is how he handles such a routine matter as a scan. This was a horrific experience- shame on you, Dr. Kauffman!
