Dr. Richard Lee Kelly, MD

Dr Kelly is that rarified doctor who actually listens to his patients and collaborates to find solutions to patient needs. He is very easy to talk with and treats his patients as if they are his only patient. Please don't let Dr Kelly retire. We need him and his skills.

The man has a horrible attitude towards his patients and his bedside manner definitely leaves a lot to be desired. He is very abrupt, brisk, and interruptive when communicating with patients and does not want to actually listen to the patients' ailments in order to properly help them with their issues. He does not seem to enjoy being a doctor anymore and I would think even though he is still quite young the pandemic might have turned the tides and became the metaphorical feather that broke the camel's back making him a simply terrible physician. I strongly suggest that he either take some time off and reevaluate or move on to a different profession.

Cares more about scheduling you for your next appointment than hearing about your issue. I saw him twice and he ordered multiple labs (2 of them were the wrong labs) and still wouldn't take the time to answer my questions. Waiting over an hour past my appointment time in one instance. Changing to a different primary.

My highest rating goes to Dr. Richard L Kelly. I have been treated by other doctors in the past but I would rate his care as the best. I consistently receive top level medical treatment as well as a genuine, empathetic approach. He has helped me with prompt and effective advice even when I am on travel and away from the Phoenix area. I can talk with him or I can send an email and he is attentive. His staff and office environment are excellent too. I'm happy to have Dr. Kelly and his team in my corner and would recommend his practice without hesitation.

Dr. Kelly wrote a script for me on 11-25-18. I discovered a dose far cheaper at a different pharmacy, and called on 2-25-19 informing staff to get approval and route to the cheaper pharmacy. Called on 3-1-19 after no results; again explained what i needed. On 3-8-19, after office sent wrong dosage to the pharmacy, i met with the office manager and explained my issue. No action taken or results as of 3-15-19. Unbelievable incompetence and lack of service. I will NOT visit this doctor or office again.

Please do not waste your time going to Dr Kelly for any medical help! He is a complete idiot and so is his entire staff... totally incompetent... you Will spend 30min on hold just to make an appointment! Takes over a week to fill any kind of prescription and again you will be on hold for at least 30min Every time you call... He does not have enough knowledge or desire to help you and his entire staff is even worse... he will act like you are annoying him by being there... I would give him Zero stars if this site would let me... I have nothing positive to say about Dr Kelly... Big red flag...

DR. KELLY IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! I'VE BEEN GOING TO HIM FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM. HE LISTENS, DOESN'T RUSH WITH YOU, AND HE MAKES SURE YOU GET THE BEST CARE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ALL THAT NEED GOOD SERVICE. THE STAFF IS FABULOUS TOO!

I think he is a great doctor. I just hope he is still mine however I am not sure at this point. I do not understand how anyone could complain about Dr. Kelly except his is over worked and under paid due to the new system of things. However he has not complained to me or made me feel neglected.

Dr Kelly takes the time to listen to what you say and cares. He is a very knowledge doctor.

I and my family have been seeing Dr. Kelly for all of our healthcare needs for about 14 years. This is a great, caring doctor.
