Dr.McEwan cares about his patients and it shows. His nurse Tonya will go above and beyond to make sure you get seen. It’s a small practice and you get personal attention!

I stopped seeing him 25+ years ago when it became apparent (to me) that he was scheduling repeat visits just for the money. He had me coming in every 3 months just to check my well regulated blood pressure. My next doctor had me come in once a year for that and overall checkup.

I have been going to Dr. McEwan for many years and he (along with Dr. Carl Dohn, my gynecologist) is my main doctor. What I like about him is that he takes the time to listen to you, he doesn't rush, he is very thorough, he really wants to teach you what you need to STAY healthy, AND you don't need a referral to see him! He does offer supplements at his office, and he will tell you about them, but he doesn't push them on you. I am 65 and in excellent health and I have to give him much of the credit. He also is currently taking care of my husband, who is very ill, and Dr. McEwan ran a bunch of tests for us, and is now referring us to Mayo Clinic. I really appreciate the fact that when it came time to see a specialist, he did a referral for us. But he did a lot of the tests up front, so he could call them with some of the work already done.

Initially was happy with the service I received from him, but it slowly faded. Dr McEwan seems insulted if any other doctor sees you and notices things he did not, he is very defensive, rude and arrogant. He wants you to come back month after month even though you don't have a chronic illness just so you can get your regular medication.

I am a registered nurse and have been completely satisfied with his knowledge and interest in me as his patient. His office staff is helpful and pleasant. I can always reach someone there if I need anything. I am from the Atlanta area and the choices of Dr.s in Brunswick is small so I was pleased to find Dr. McEwan.

Dr. McEwan has a very well equipped office. Bloodwork, breathing tests as well as other tests can be completed in the office. However, he often comes off as being condescending, uncaring, vaguely interested in spending time with you. I always feel as if I'm keeping him from his next appointment. His staff is considerate and more patient
