If this website allowed me to give 0 as a rating, I certainly would after my experience with this doctor & the way his practice is managed.

I deal with this dr & office because my family member is a patient. I would like to start by saying if you want an appointment for anything.. GOOD LUCK!! it is the most ridiculous experience & it becomes a series of phone calls because the person answering the phone is either incapable of looking at a schedule and making a decision or dr wants to pick & choose who he sees; they take a message, send to dr and then he decides on appointment and staff calls you back, if the appointment doesn't work for you then message goes back to dr to restart the negotiations for appointment. Going to a Walgreens Take Care Clinic or Urgent Care would provide you better more efficient service. If you need a referral you will get 1 visit approved at a time, so if you actually have a medical condition that requires multiple visits to a specialist then be prepared for process of multiple phone calls. If you actually see the Dr your visit is short, he acts uninterested in your visit and more like… he's just there to get his 15 mins in so he can legitimately bill a level 3 office visit. So because we as a family feel their is a lack of interest in our family members health and being made to feel that they are unimportant to dr and staff, we are in process of finding a new PCP for our loved one. I would not recommend this provider or staff to anyone.

This doc needs to retire. He has ZERO empathy for people with chronic and acute illnesses. He does not like to be called by patients. He is rude, does not listen and therefore delivers extremely POOR care to his patients. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.

Total jerk Sets timer when your seven minutes are up you here a ding in hallway and he leaves in middle of your sentence

When the doctor won't even get up from his desk to show up for a patient's appointment, in the very next room; that's when to say WHEN!! HIS DAYS ARE DONE! When my husband & I started with him, about 10+ yrs or so ago, he WAS fantastic! Enlightened him on the previous Dr we had, who had no time for us (5 min. physical), kept patients waiting, rude & disgruntled behavior...now that is Richard Muchnick! Last visit, I was forced to leave work early to get to their office before Dr left...so I did, raced there over 20 miles away, arrived on time and this Dr would not even come out of the room next to mine (his office, I could see him sitting there at the door!) to see me!!! He repeatedly sent the med asst back & forth to respond to my questions, never given me the courtesy of a visit or exam! A prior visit to that one, I knew I had strep throat AGAIN, (prior history) he insisted I did not, as he knew better & no "usual" symptoms!!! Well, he did a test on my insistance, and sure… enough I was positive for strep! He obviously took that as an insult and ever since has been nothing but trouble! When I made an appt a few weeks ago, & brought the visit to his attention, asked that he specifically call me back to discuss this matter (of him not showing up at all in my exam room), no return call, I called back a couple days later to find out when my appt was, I was told he would be sending me a letter that he would not be seeing me as a patient any more! Got a letter the next day! On yet another previous appt, I was left sitting in the waiting room over an hour, when I inquired; " why so long?" They stated that they had forgotten about me! Sitting right in front of the staff desk, with my 5 yr old son!! REALLY?!!! I would not recommend this guy to anyone, any more....he has gotten callus and cold, just as the others after a period of fermentation. Only got worse with age. What a shame.....

Dr. Mutchnik has taken care of my husband and I for years.He's caring; takes a lot of time with us; always calls (HIMSELF!) to follow-up, and on top of that, is a very witty man who loves to tell a good (OK, sometimes corny) joke. He makes a patient feel relaxed and comfortable and well taken care of.
