Dr. Richard Phillip Pearlstein, MD

Dr. Pearlstein was very friendly efficient and diagnosed me quickly set me up for a ct scan the next day

I was given a hearing test that I didn't need and was discharged without explanation.

After my daughter's previous ENT retired, we started seeing Dr. Pearlstein. He was wonderful with my daughter (who was 10 and had already had tubes multiple times before). He inserted tubes, took out adenoids, and cauterized her nose and we have had no issues since then (going on 2 years). He related well with my daughter and was very easy to talk to. The office is a little hard to get an appointment when needed, but they always had a nurse call me when I had questions or issues.

My 2 year old son was scheduled for surgery and I lost my insurance. Spoke with Akron Childrens Hospital and they were going to help us with the surgery amount. Dr. Pearlstein's office said they would NOT under any circumstances perform the surgery without insurance. Offered to pay out of pocket for the Dr's services and was told that the amount had to be paid in FULL before the Dr would do the surgery. I let them know that I have a claim with Trumbull County for Medicad and will be approved and they still would not help my 2 year old son. They cancelled the surgery without even offering me any other options. My 2 year old has such horrible build-up in his ears that he cannot hear well enough to speak. He has ear infections every other week. Dr. Pearlstiens office cares more about MONEY then they do for a 2 year old child's well-being and care. I am incredibly saddened that a Dr is more concerned with money then helping a 2 year old child hear. When I get insurance I… will not be coming back to this office or Dr. Pearlstien. I have 5 children and need a doctor that cares more about the well-being of the patient then MONEY.

If I could give less than one star I would the entire experience with this doctor from start to finish has been horrible his staff is extremely rude and worse I went back repeatedly and still did not have the infection in my throat fully resolved and of course paid a copay at each visit I would highly recommend staying far away from this practice!!

My 6 year old son had a severe ear infection. Dr Pearlstein was extremely nice and attentive. He had a good sense of humor and relaxed my son. His staff was very friendly too. I highly recommend Dr Pearlstein and will return when needed.

I would not suggest this doctor to my friends. I had no problems with his diagnosis or his surgery but his bedside manner is not great. He also made a comment that was very out of line and out of his scope of practice. I was so turned off by his manner and interaction with my son that it highly out weighs his skills in the operating room.His office staff is also rude and unplesant. The nurses were nice though. Over all not a good experience

I really liked Dr Pearlstein but his staff isn't very friendly and my wait time was over an hour and then I waited another 45 min to schedule surgery for my daughter.

Dr Perlstein bedside manner very good, staff incredibly RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. It is VERY DIFFICULT to reach this office by phone and when you do you get automated voice mail.
