Dr. Richard Reid

Dr. Reid is at the very top in the field of Pulmonology and Sleep Disorders. Highly recommend this physician. This comes from 30+ years of acquaintance with his Jacksonville, FL practice.

His staff is horrible and non-compassionate. They do not tell the patients what is going on. Orders are lost. Sleep study not ordered in a timely fashion. Dr. Reid says one thing and his staff say's another. No one is on the same page.

Dr. Reid is tops in the fields of pulmonology, critical care, and sleep disorders. He is personable, and genuinely cares for his patients.

One diagnosis fits all. You'll get a CPAP, guaranteed.

First appt and no one in the office could find my parents records. They listens for about 15 minutes while the doctor and his incompetent staff looked for them. Then doc spent about 5 minus with them. Next appt my parents got lost and arrived 9 minutes late. After making them wait for about 5 minutes the receptionist told them to come back for another appt by hey would not be seen and would not be worked in. They are unprofessional and rude. If you like a doctor who is in and out of the room, doesn't give you a chance to discuss your situation then here is your doctor. Office doesn't know what the other one is doing. Example: Had appt, called 20 minutes in advance of the appt to let know was going to be late, reassured okay you have 15 minuted leeway. Got there 10 after and was told Dr Reid left one minute earlier. This actually was after they called me in the morning to try to get me in earlier. Which had been rescheduled one time before that for earlier appt. Claimed they have to be notified. Hello! I called 20 minutes before I was even suppose to be there. No communication between staff. Worst part? I was suppose to get my right heart cath results. I guess golf was more important. Two days later no results and I will never step foot in that office again!

I really like Dr. Reid It's a comfort knowing I have a Dr. with his experience and knowledge..I have severe copd and he keeps a good eye on my health.He has a good bed side manner and always answers any of my questions and I've never felt like he was rushing or in a hurry. Great staff also..

Been seeing him for 7 years. He has kept me alive. But, he will crawl your case if you are not taking care of yourself. He got me for weight gain and I went on the Adkins diet and got it off

I believe had it not been for Dr. Reid's care I would have been unable to function, especially without having to use oxygen. i appreciate his care for me.

Has a noncaring attitude, tell it to you like it is. "You need to lose weight". I don't like the man,forget what you are there for I believe.
